i used to argue with my mom and dad's best friends' son about which was better, twilight zone or outler limits.  to this day i can't remember who took which side; i am betting i took the twilight zone's side, though.  regardless, i've become a fan of the better episodes of the outer limits, and some of my favorites are demon with a glass hand, the architects of fear, the sixth finger, the form of things unknown, andro, the bellero shield and corpus earthling (that last i don't even remember except i remember loving all the ones robert culp was in).  how about you?  got faves?

My favorites are The Man That Was Never Born, and some other episode (can't remember the name) where a man breaks the sound barrier and time appears frozen. He and his wife save their child from dying.

Man Who Was Never Born, Corpus Earthling, The Form of Things Unknown, and Demon With A Glass Hand.

As for Twilight Zone, it had some classic episodes which were unforgettable but Rod Serling himself admitted that only a 1/3 of the episodes were really good.  Outer Limits had a few clunckers but was more solid overall.  The four episodes lsited above are classics, and Demon With A Glass Hand, along with Soldier, were ripped off by The Terminator.  In fact, the DVD now has a "dedicated to the works of Harlan Ellison", the author of those two Outer Limits episodes.

I was but a wee toddler when O.L. was first aired and I still remember how scared I was when I saw the episode titled Nightmare. Same thing with Corpus Earthling. It didn't help to have an older brother put a rock in my bed one night.

I might also put O.B.I.T. in my top five.

The one where the test pilot broke the sound barrier and froze time was "Premonition" (see below)

I had posted this awhile back, but on further review, I'm editing it.

    1. "The Invisibles"

    2. "Soldier"

    3. "Demon with a Glass Hand"

    4. "Controlled Experiment" (somehow I left this off my first list)

    5. "Don't Open Until Doomsday" (I had originally listed "The Guests", but I got it mixed up with this one, so I'm correcting it).

    6. "OBIT"

    7. "Forms of Things Unknown"

    8. "Fun and Games"

    9. "Corpus Earthling"

    10. (tie) "Premonition" and "ZZZZZ"

"It crawled out of the woodwork" was the scariest one for me. Being trapped in a sealed concrete hallway with that energy creature was the worst thing I could think of when I was a kid. Gave me nightmares for weeks!

You know, every time I see an episode of NCIS and see David Mcallum as Ducky (Dr. Mallard) I instantly flash back on The Outer Limits sixth finger episode, I can't help it!

Wouldn't know anything about the Classics but from the revived series in the 90's it'll probably be 'Abduction'
