Down to Earth
AIRED:
The true believers have gathered once again for the North American UFO Convention where there are typically squabbles, petty betrayals and egotistical grandstanding. Max Buford has in his possession what appears to be a fragment from an alien spaceship. Max's arrival causes a flurry of activity, as the fragment's true origins are thrown into question.moreless

  • Hilariously overacted; nice twist ending. Personally, I'm a big fan of the cheese factor, so I loved this episode.

I almost feel like the "government" downvoted this episode to prevent people from learning "the truth," lol. I did enjoy the comedic overacting, the overly dramatic twists, and the somewhat predictable yet nevertheless chilling twist ending. I like good cheese, and this episode delivers. I don't know why people dislike this episode so much, but give a far inferior installment like "think like a dinosaur," (which was unhumorous, boring cheesiness) good reviews. This episode gets a pass in my book for the simple reason that it has the audacity to present alien conspiracy theorists as total lunatics, while ultimately endorsing their beliefs and paranoia at the end. It would have been a GOOD episode had the twist been that there WERE no aliens and each member of the group WAS just trying to discredit the others... but seeing as this is the Outer Limits, they had to make it chillingly ridiculous. I love it! Don't listen to the other reviews, and prepare to be amused!moreless
