There is a blooper in this episode. As Shirley is driving the bus, she changes both her outfit and cap, and then changes back to her original outfit.
Danny: Guess what Mr. Kincaid? I just got a letter from the US Government. I've been drafted!
Reuben: Danny Partridge in the Army... what a lovely thought!
Keith: Hey Danny, have you made up your mind yet?
Danny: About what?
Keith: Are you joining the Army or are you splitting to Canada?
Laurie: All I can say is I think the Army is horribly unfair.
Chris: Because they want Danny to be a soldier?
Laurie: No because they drafted him without even sending him a draft card. I mean, what if he wanted to burn it or something?
Keith: He wouldn't do that... he's not allowed to play with matches.
(In a daydream sequence, where Danny is a soldier and Reuben is the Sargent)
Reuben: We're completely surrounded, the only chance is to let headquarters know our position.
Danny: A small patrol might be able to get through Sarge.
Reuben: Good idea Partridge. Pick your best men and move out!
Danny: Okay... Cavelli, Goldberg, Murphy, Hernandez, Kurowski, Running Cloud, follow me!
(Danny runs, off camera)
Reuben: I respect that kid. Not only does he have guts... he can remember all those names.
song: "I'm on the Road" from "The Partridge Family Album"
Jack Riley, who played Corporal Wrzesinkski in this episode, would go on to play the very neurotic Elliot Carlin on "The Bob Newhart Show".
