The Pat Sajak Show

Show Summary

The Pat Sajak Show was Pat's foray into nighttime talk-variety programming. Producer Paul Gilbert and CBS felt Pat had the right stuff with his ease and comfortable manner of communicating with people. Pat's friend and former colleague Dan Miller was the announcer for the show and Tom Scott and the Band provided the music. Starting out as a 90 minute program by October 1989 the show was reduced to 60 minutes and finally cancelled by April 13, 1990.

this talk show has been bashed alot over the years. i am sure that pat sajack wishes he could just forget it ever happened. at least he got his job at wheel of fortune back. i personally thought it was an all right show. it was a nice change from johnny carson and david letterman.

You could tell right from the start that tonight’s episode was going to be a good one. In the previous cliff-hanger we were left with a fatal car crash, not knowing anything else about the accident besides the fact that it happened. Tonight’s story opens with Alf in a dark hospital waiting room. In the background two nurses are talking. One says "he hasn't said a word since he found out". The other replies: "Some people need time... she's only been dead for 2 hours".moreless
