The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show

Show Summary

Welcome to The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show guide at TV.com. One of the better and more memorable spin-offs of The Flintstones, The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show follows the teen hijinks of Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble. Bypassing several important growth stages, Bedrock's favorite tots are now teenagers attending Bedrock High where, not surprisingly, they become embroiled in a variety of misadventures along with their pals Wiggy, Penny, and teen inventor Moonrock. Other characters include Fred and Wilma Flintstone, Barney and Betty Rubble, Pebbles' rival Cindy with her sidekick Fabian, a motorcycle gang called the Bronto Bunch, and Bad-luck Schleprock. The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show is definitely dated with signs of the times -- drag-racing, "groovy" lingo, mini-skirts, cave buggies, brontoburger hangouts, motorcycle gangs, teen music idols, etc. Pebbles -- much like her father Fred -- is always coming up with "brilliant ideas" that end up getting the gang into some sort of trouble -- and making Bamm-Bamm cringe. The series ran for one season as The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show, then was combined with four new episodes, vignettes, and a dance of the week to expand into The Flintstone Comedy Hour (1972-1973) and The Flintstones Show (1973-1974). From 1974-1976, The Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show returned to its original 30-minute format -- repeating the same episodes. **Series information, episode guide and images courtesy of Webrock - The Flintstones & Hanna-Barbera Page and T.R. • A disgrace to Flintstone fans everywhere

Before I begin I have to say that I don't really like The Flintstones that much. It wasn't terrible, but I don't really care for it, and will never love it like so many others. This spinoff though is so bad it disgraces The Flintstones franchise. The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm Show is about the kids of Barney Rubble, and Fred Flintstone in their teen years, and the adventures they have with their friends and family. The premise reminds me of another bad spinoff that would come a few decades later, Rugrats All Grown Up. I really kept an open mind to this show, but it fails on multiple levels. The characters are all terrible, and are bland. The friends (I can't remember all the names) are boring, and generic like the nerd, and the pretty girl, all of them are stereotypical. Fred and Barney are barely in the show, and the times they were in they don't really offer anything to the plot. Pebbles is more like Fred, a complete moron who does really stupid things that always end getting her and her friends in trouble. Bamm Bamm is a disgrace to the original. He is now weak and can be clobbered easily. Last time I checked Bamm Bamm was very strong, and could life things that were several times his size and weight. How did he go from super strong to super pathetic? The plots are boring, and rehashed stories that have been done already, or stories from The Flintstones itself. There are no funny moments at all in this show at all, and the humor attempted here is pathetic, and feels forced upon. This was just a complete waste of time, and thankfully the show was canceled in a year. Flintstone fans just stick to the original show, and pass up this spinoff.moreless
  • This show is by far one of the best Flintstones spinoffs in cartoon history. I am a fan of this show.

I always wondered what it would be like if Pebbles and Bamm Bamm were teenagers instead of toddlers. The possiblities are endless. This is one for the books. It is also great that Fred & Barney are in this show too because the show isn't the same without them. Ditto!

The Pebbles And Bamm Bamm Show was a show that was about Pebbles and Bamm Bamm In High School. They bypassed several growh stages. Just like they did that with The Rugrats.

They really should have stayed with this show. But I don't remember it that well. Maybe they should bring it back. Not only to they not stay with the show, tbey don't even ait it! Or at least I have never seen it recently.

But Why Does Bamm Bamm Have White Hair?? I never understood that. And I can't remember if he smashed anything in this show.moreless
