  • About this episode

    It was excellent.
  • Perfect special episode

This was a perfect one hour special of POM. It was great to see Alex the Lion. It was funny when Marlene tries to hide Alice from the penguins' HQ. It was funny when a man yelled My car in a different language. Also, Buck (forgot his other name) from The Red Squirrel and that weird animal appearences were great. King Juilen not knowing who's the science guy was really hilarious. I can't stop laughing at the running gag where Dr Blowhole kept mistakely pushing the Mind Jacker button. The second part of the special was better than the first 20 minutes. Skipper ending up in thevwrong NY zoo was hilarious. It was funny that the animals has to sing while Juilen's Mp3 Player is taking over Central Park Zoo. Most of the singing were awesome, especially Skipper and Blowhole. After that mp3 player no longer taking over the zoo, Blowhole becomes a memory loss dolphin known as Flippy which was kinda hilarious. Overall, this special was amazing. 10/10 (A+)moreless
  • This show just gets better and better.

So Skipper's doing a mission in China solo. But little does he know that Hans is working with Dr. Blowhole. So then Blowhole uses his Mind Jacker to steal Skipper's memory. Skipper is then given a spirit guide which is Alex the Lion to help him remember where he came from.

First off, I am so happy that they got the original Madagascar character, and even the same voice actor, Ben Stiller. And he's just as hilarious as in the movies.

Meanwhile, Blowhole uses a machine to turn objects to giant monsters, so he can shoot the penguins with the ray and use them to take over the city. However, King Julien's MP3 player, with Kowalski's power cell as a battery, gets shot, and turns into a giant robot.

Also, Skipper is trying to get to the zoo, although he isn't listening to guidance by Alex, and with that hijinks ensue, including a weird scene where Alex is a figment of Skipper's imagination, and is driving a car.

Anyway, back to the zoo. the MP3 player soon creates a force field across the entire zoo, which forces the people who are engulfed in it to sing. The singing voices were actually really good, especially Blowhole. So with this, the penguins try to stop Blowhole from taking over the city, by having a better voice than his. So King Julien tries to stop the MP3 by rapping.

Speaking of King Julien, he was probably the best character. Not only was he funny, he was entertianing, and less jerky.

Anyway, while Julien's rap didn't stop it, Alex helped find Skipper's heart song. (Happy Feet connection?) It was a really cool blues song, with it sounding like the theme song.

Speaking of the songs, they all felt like parodies. The first was something that would come from High School Musical. The next two feel like something from a Broadway musical. The next one feels like a parody of Kanye West, Taio Cruz, and even Sean Kingston. And the last one felt like a 50's Blues number.

In the end, the power cell controlling the MP3 is taken away, Blowhole loses his memory, and becomes a stage perfomer, and Skipper has his memory returned.

Honestly, the only problems I had was that the beginning was rushed, and Hans was in it for only 1 minute. But these are just nitpicks

Overall, perfect TV Movie for the birds in black and white 10 out of 10.moreless
  • Started off slow and then it got better and funnier

This is the first ever "The Penguins of Madagascar" 1-Hour TV Movie and I thought it was a great TV movie. However, the story could've been a little more better and developed in my opinion. Also, this TV Movie started off slow. It got weak and a little boring in the first 20-25 minutes but then it got better. My other issue was that the writers went too quick with the "Blowhole taking away Skipper's memory" thing. Skipper got his memory taken away by Dr. Blowhole after the first 3 minutes of this TV Movie. It was too quick to let the story in and made me say to myself "WTH?". I am happy that Neil Patrick Harris returned to voice Dr. Blowhole. Also, Ben Stiller voices as Alex the Lion in this TV Movie. Of course, Ben Stiller voices as Alex the Lion in the Madagascar movies. I'm just that they got Ben Stiller to voice Alex the Lion in this TV Movie because that is Alex's original voice and it fits perfectly. If they used another person to voice Alex The Lion then it would've irritated me throughout this TV Movie. Thanks for being very smart on that writers. The joke with Alex the Lion driving the truck but the truck crashes because Alex The Lion is just a spirit guide was hilarious. It is good to see Alex The Lion even though he is only Skipper's spirit guide. Dr. Blowhole's plan with the giant MP3 player which makes everyone sing was absolutely hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at everyone singing. King Julien's song to attract the giant MP3 player definitely made me LOL. Skipper's song to attract the giant MP3 player and defeat it was awesome. Overall, it started off slow but then it got better and funnier and I really do like this TV Movie... well done writers (applause). 8/10moreless
