So Skipper's doing a mission in China solo. But little does he know that Hans is working with Dr. Blowhole. So then Blowhole uses his Mind Jacker to steal Skipper's memory. Skipper is then given a spirit guide which is Alex the Lion to help him remember where he came from.
First off, I am so happy that they got the original Madagascar character, and even the same voice actor, Ben Stiller. And he's just as hilarious as in the movies.
Meanwhile, Blowhole uses a machine to turn objects to giant monsters, so he can shoot the penguins with the ray and use them to take over the city. However, King Julien's MP3 player, with Kowalski's power cell as a battery, gets shot, and turns into a giant robot.
Also, Skipper is trying to get to the zoo, although he isn't listening to guidance by Alex, and with that hijinks ensue, including a weird scene where Alex is a figment of Skipper's imagination, and is driving a car.
Anyway, back to the zoo. the MP3 player soon creates a force field across the entire zoo, which forces the people who are engulfed in it to sing. The singing voices were actually really good, especially Blowhole. So with this, the penguins try to stop Blowhole from taking over the city, by having a better voice than his. So King Julien tries to stop the MP3 by rapping.
Speaking of King Julien, he was probably the best character. Not only was he funny, he was entertianing, and less jerky.
Anyway, while Julien's rap didn't stop it, Alex helped find Skipper's heart song. (Happy Feet connection?) It was a really cool blues song, with it sounding like the theme song.
Speaking of the songs, they all felt like parodies. The first was something that would come from High School Musical. The next two feel like something from a Broadway musical. The next one feels like a parody of Kanye West, Taio Cruz, and even Sean Kingston. And the last one felt like a 50's Blues number.
In the end, the power cell controlling the MP3 is taken away, Blowhole loses his memory, and becomes a stage perfomer, and Skipper has his memory returned.
Honestly, the only problems I had was that the beginning was rushed, and Hans was in it for only 1 minute. But these are just nitpicks
Overall, perfect TV Movie for the birds in black and white 10 out of 10.
