Perry's guests on his 14th season opener are Buddy Hackett, Fran Jeffries, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Mel Allen. Plus regulars: Don Adams, Kaye Ballard, Jack Duffy, Paul Lynde and Sandy Stewart.

Highlights:
Perry opens with "Let Me Entertain You".
Fran Jeffries duets with Perry to "Little White Lies" and sings a few tunes of her own "It Might as Well Be Spring", "You'll Never Know" and "Little White Lies".
Perry sings "This Nearly Was Mine" and "Thank Heaven for Little Girls".
Peter Gennaro does a turn with his dancers to "Dartown Strutter's Ball".
Baseball heroes Mantle and Maris hold their own chat with Perry and Buddy.
Buddy Hackett will also be on the team, playing a baseball park hot dog vendor in this baseball-themed show.
All join in for "Take Me Out to the Ballgame".
Mitch Miller pops up in the audience for a brief bit.
