The Power, The Passion

Show Summary

The Power, The Passion is a series, specifically produced for daytime airing, that featured a storyline about wealth, glamor, devious schemes and intrigue. Boasting high technical standards and an excellent cast, it was based on the life of three sisters; the glamorous Anna Wright (Susie Cato), neurotic psychiatrist Kathryn Byrne (Tracey Tainsh) and the middle class Ellen Edwards (Olivia Hamnett). The three daughters have a troubled relationship with their father, Gordon, who is a master of manipulation and considering a heir to his vast business empire. Anna was the unhappy wife of villainous businessman, Justin Wright (George Mallaby), who was romantically involved with Nick Cassala (Nick Caraffra). Kathryn faced the problem of an evil, dual personality that became most apparent in stressful times, while Ellen is married to Dr Andrew Edmonds (Allan Cassell) and has grown up kids. The episodes revolve around family, romance, domestic problems of the family members, and criminal business deals of Gordon's empire.
