Boogie Frights: When The Powerpuff Girls landed in Townsville while the music was playing and all the monsters were dancing, if you listen to Blossom, she said, "Oh my god." Shouldn't Cartoon Network have heard that word the first time and censor it?
Shouldn't Al Lusion's corpse have been buried rather than leaving it to rot in the Iron Maiden?
In "Abracadaver," when Abracadaver puts himself back together, his right arm where his pocket watch is, is missing. But in one shot, his left arm is missing and then it went back to where it started.
Boogie Frights: How did the Boogie Man fit into his suit when his arms are so big and muscular?
The Girls seem quite adept in using magic, despite the fact they have never used it in earlier episodes.
While Abracadaver turns random Townsville objects into magic-related things, we see a schoolbus driving down the street in the middle of the night with students in it.
The Girls go from being in their nightgowns to fully dressed. They pop out of bed dressed.
Narrator: The city of Townsville, and like most cities, Townsville prepares it's young for bed as evening approaches. The same is true for the home of the Powerpuff Girls.
Blossom: Block out the sun? (looks up at the disco ball blocking the sun) That's it! Come on, girls, we gotta take out that disco ball!
(they shoot up in the sky)
Blossom: There's too many of them.
Bubbles: We can't take them on.
Buttercup: We need a plan, leader girl.
Boogie Man: Well, well, well, it's the Powerpuff Girls... CRASHING MY PARTY!!!
Bubbles: It's the Boogie Man!!!
Narrator: Oh no, the girls are getting stumped!
Buttercup: But don't worry, he only comes out... (turns off light) ...AFTER DARK!!!
(Bubbles screams, Professor busts door open and girls scream, Professor jumps)
Powerpuff Girls: IT'S THE BOOGIE MAN!!!
Professor Utonium: What? Boogie Man? What's going on here?
Professor Utonium: Buttercup, have you been teasing your sisters again?
Professor Utonium: (cuddles up Bubbles) Okay, Bubbles, calm down, everything's all right now.
Creatures of Darkness: OHHH, NOOO!!!
Narrator: OHHH, YES!!! The sun is free to shine on Townsville again. Sorry, Nightmares, party's over, and don't let the door hit you where the door should've bit you.
Professor Utonium: (In Bubbles' mind) Bubbles, if you can just face your fears, then I know you can find the courage to beat them.
Blossom: I CAN'T GET ANY SLEEP, WITH ALL THAT RACKET OUT THERE!!! Something funky's going on downtown.
Buttercup: I say we better check it out.
Blossom: Yeah, it might be trouble.
Bubbles: Wait for me!!!
Buttercup: You're good to go, kid!
Blossom: Now, blow up that disco ball so we can go back to bed.
Buttercup: Yeah, yeah, but all the fun stuff that happens at night. Party, dancing, night clubs and stuff! Girl, it would be awesome once we are old enough to go out after dark! Right Bubbles?
Bubbles: Uh, no.
Buttercup: What do you mean, no?
Bubbles: I don't know.
Creatures of Darkness: Blame it on the Boogie.
Mayor: Ms. Bellum? Do you see this saw I see?
Mayor: (Noticing a saw blade) That's unusual. Ms. Bellum? Do you see this saw I see?
Ms. Bellum: Yes, but don't you also see that the rest of Townsville is under attack?
(The saw cuts the Mayor's hat)
Mayor: My hat's certainly under attack. Call the habberdasher!
Ms. Bellum: Ahem!
Mayor: Oh... and the Powerpuff Girls.
Mayor: My favorite hat's been ruined! And, oh yeah, Townsville's under attack by an evil demented zombie magician.
Blossom: Would you stop destroying Townsville with your evil zombie magic, pleeeease?
"Boogie Frights" is the first episode not to have the Girls fighting crimes during the day.
In "Boogie Frights," we learned that the Mayor's real first name is Barny.
This is the first episode which shows a different ending of the Girls.
The little girl in the Mayor's flashback looks a lot like Blossom, only she has a nose.
Although the Boogie Man and Abracadaver, only made one appearance, they both make cameo appearances in "Bought and Scold."
Villain(s): Boogie Man, Creatures of Darkness, & Abracadaver.
This is the Boogie Man and Abracadaver's first and only appearance in the entire series.
Character Debut(s): The Boogie Man & Abracadaver.
Even when he was a young boy, the Mayor was balding and wearing a monocle.
When the creatures of the night emerge, the Mayor is in bed with what at first seems to be a big-haired redhead.
The monsters shout Blame it on the Boogie.
This is actually the title of a Michael Jackson song.
Disco Ball: (Blows up)
Bubbles shooting the lasers into the slot, and the disco ball blowing up is similar to Star Wars IV when Luke destroyed the Death Star.
Abracadaver's name seems to allude to the famous magic word 'Abracadabra', as well as 'cadaver', which means a dead body.
Blossom: You're good to go, kid. Now, blow up this ball so we can go back to bed.
That's a line from Star Wars.
The Boogie Man: Saturday Night Fever
The Boogie Man and his friends act like the cast of Saturday Night Fever. Even the Boogie Man's suit is a reference to the movie.
Blossom: Accelerate to Attack Speed and follow me!
After Blossom says that, the rest of the sequence is similar to Star Wars IV: A New Hope (the flying in the trench).
