  • Double length? All season long?

Well what surprised me the most of seeing the season four episode list was, the double length episodes all season, and only eleven episodes. Come on! Anyways I sort of liked the episode I guess, The Power Puff Girls look like thy totally changed their style which is what I didn't like. Which is why the rating of the epsiode went down. The idea overall, was great though, having a movie? I like the "breaking the fourth wall" at the end. "Who would want a PPG movie!?" And they already had one in real life. Predictable ending, like how the Professor saves the day though.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Didn't Bernie Bernstien tell Ms. Keane that the Powerpuff Girls would have to take a few days off from school to make their movie?

    • If Bernie Bernstein wanted to rob the bank, why didn't he just take the money when he said he was going to use it for reality sake?

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Professor Utonium: And that's a wrap, Mr. Bernstein.

    • Buttercup: You picked the wrong day to mess with this sister, mister!
      (Blossom groans disgustedly)
      Buttercup: What?
Blossom: I just don't think you should say that line.
Bernie: Uh, you're not supposed to think, you're supposed to act.
Blossom: Bernie, I'm not comfortable with Buttercup saying the "sister-mister" line. I'm the leader. I should say it.
Bubbles: Well, I don't have any lines, and I'm the cutest and the favorite!

    • Buttercup: Well, as you know, I'm the toughest.
Bubbles: Yeah, but you're the worst actor.

    • Narrator: Oh, no! Bernie Bernstein a fraud? And I was promised a part in that movie!

    • Bernie: Just sign here. And here... And here... And here... And once more here...

    • Talking Dog: Look, there's only one part for a dog in this picture, and I talk.

    • Professor Utonium: And I, for one, am not the type of man who will stand by and let a crook - (Passes by "robber") Excuse me...

    • Buttercup: Wow, our own movie!
Blossom: Yeah. And finally, we'll get the recognition we deserve.
Bubbles: And the premiere. Oh... maybe I'll get a chance to meet Leo!
Buttercup: And our name in lights!
Blossom: "Starring Blossom." I'd get top billing, of course.
      Buttercup: Says who?
Blossom: Well, I am the leader.
Buttercup: Nuh-uh! I'm just as important as you!
      Bubbles: (Giggling) Leo...
Blossom: Come on, Buttercup! I'm the only reason Mr. Bernstein is here.
Buttercup: Hah! Oh, yeah? Wanna fight about it?

    • Bernie: Nobody move, or the Mayor gets it!
Mayor: Cut! (Grabbing gun) Come on, not like that! Give it some feeling, like this! (Imitates Edward G. Robinson) All right, see? Nobody move, or the Mayor here gets it, see?

    • Blossom: We can't just let them get away.
Bernie: Don't worry, hon, you'll get them in the next scene. Trust me, babe, it's gonna be a long movie.

  • NOTES (6)

    • The Professor: Drag Outfit
While in drag, Professor Utonium wears a wig and glasses just like those of Tootsie as played by Dustin Hoffman in the 1982 movie.

    • Bubbles: And the premiere. Oh... maybe I'll get a chance to meet Leo!
When Bubbles says this line, she's possibly referring to Leonardo DiCaprio.

    • Mr. Bernstein: Character
Bernstein sounds a lot like Phil Silvers, who did in fact play a washed-up, sleazy movie director in It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

    • Mr. Bernstein: When Mr. S came to me with that big war picture and nobody would touch it, I had fears. I had doubts. But did I let that stop me from doing what I believed? HECK, NO! And we knocked the pants off 'em with that one!
Bernie is talking about Steven Speilburg's Saving Private Ryan.

    • Bubbles: Well, I don't have any lines -- and I'm the cutest and the favorite!
This line may have been determined by the now-infamous Powerpuff Popularity Contest held by Cartoon Network in the spring of 2001. Viewers were invited to submit votes for their favorite of the three girls. Bubbles came in first, Buttercup second, and Blossom third.
