  • Amazing!

The Powerpuff Girls' Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever: I like how this short was so simple with no villains and yet I still loved it. I like how Blossom got so in to it that she had to wait in a cupboard for 3 hours, that was probably my favorite scene. I love this season! The writers get so creative. Just Desserts: This episode was amazing as well, I like how they did the whole "previously on the Power Puff Girls" theme. That was pretty funny how the family goes against the Power Puff Girls. The mom was hilarious, dropping the cookies!moreless
  • The Powerpuff Girls' Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever - If you're new to the series or a keen fan, this episode is one to watch.

When it comes time to recommend a TV show to someone, I try to think of a single episode that shows off the qualities that made me watch the show in the first place. The Powerpuff Girls Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever is that episode. The premise of this episode is that it's too wet outside to play or fight crime, so the girls are stuck indoors and decide to roleplay the Powerpuff Girls in the house. There's plenty of cuteness and humour in this episode, with the girls roleplaying various characters in the show and alluding to their particular quirks and character traits. They also rope the professor into roleplaying as Bubbles.

By contrast, Just Desserts manages to show off one of the few weaknesses of the show, in that there's a distinct limit to the type of situations the girls can get into, so "one-off villains" often make comebacks.

So if you've never seen the show, or if you're an avid fan who understands how Mojo Jojo often repeats or re-iterates the same thing, then may even clarify his point afterwards, then check out what can only be described as the best rainy day adventure, ever.moreless

    • Buttercup: (Imitating Him) Maybe it was me. I have the power, the skill and the wardrobe to create such a beast.

    • Professor Utonium: Fly, fly, fly, fly! Pow! Fly, fly, fly!

    • Buttercup: All right, let's get it on!

    • Blossom: Hello? Mayor: BLOSSOM, it's the Mayor! Mojo Jojo has just unleashed a giant alligator upon Townsville! Uh, save us! Blossom: (Sighs) Do we have to? Okay. Narrator: (Sighs) The city of Townsville, and it's sunny. Play time is over, so once again, the day will be saved for real, thanks to the Powerpuff Girls. Ooh, I wanted to be Bubbles.

    • Buttercup: This stinks! I hate rainy days, there's nothing to do, there's nowhere to go. I need action, I need adventure, I need to punch!

    • Bubbles: Take that, Mojo Jojo!
Blossom: Bubbles! What part of this pretend game don't you get?!
      Bubbles: What do you mean?
Blossom: I'm not the real Mojo Jojo. I'm Blossom in a bucket!
Bubbles: Well, you were just so convincing. What do you want me to do?
      Blossom: PRETEND!!

    • Blossom: So it's raining. What are we to do?
Bubbles: I have an idea! Since we can't be the Powerpuff Girls outside... (Gradually losing steam) ... maybe we could play the Powerpuff Girls and fight crime right here at home?
(Blossom directs a puzzled stare at her, Buttercup an angry one, Bubbles drops her head sadly)
      Bubbles: (Small voice) Sorry.
Blossom & Buttercup: (Happily) That's a great idea!

    • Mayor: Hello? Yes, Mayor?? A giant alligator?! I'm on my way!

    • Judy: You know what? I hate the Powerpuff Girls!
Buck: And you know what else? I hate everything!

    • Buttercup: (Imitating Blossom) Blossom here. What's the trouble?
Blossom: Hey, what do you mean "Blossom here"?
      Buttercup: I'm Blossom now.
Blossom: No, no, no. I actually am Blossom. So you can't be Blossom.
      Buttercup: We're "playing pretend," right?
      Blossom: Right.
Buttercup: Well, I'm pretending to be Blossom.
      Blossom: You can't!
      Buttercup: Why not?
Blossom: Because... because you were playing the monster.
Buttercup: Well, now I'm playing Blossom.
Blossom: Well, then, who am I supposed to be?
      Buttercup: Bubbles!
Blossom: No way! You be Bubbles!
      Buttercup: No! YOU be Bubbles!
      Blossom: YOU be Bubbles!
      Buttercup: YOU be Bubbles!
      Bubbles: I'll be Bubbles!
      Blossom & Buttercup: YOU CAN'T!

    • Blossom: (To the Smiths, as they're attacking them) What's WRONG with you people?! Why are you doing this?

    • Episode Title
The title of the first part of the episode is a reference to the Richard Scary books, which uses words like "best" and "ever."
