    • The date of Ms. Sara Bellum's bonus checks that the mayor kept hidden buried in the city was November 18th, 1998. The date the TV show premiered on Cartoon Network.

    • When Mojo Jojo is singing in prison, a man grabs him and slides him over, but if you notice, when Mojo walks in the cell there is no one in it.

    • Unlike the original series, Bubbles' ponytails are at the back of her head instead of the front.

    • In a very brief scene with a group of children, Mac and Bloo from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends can be seen.

    • When all of the citizens of Townsville are hanging down their heads in shame over the actions of the Powerpuff Girls, Sara Bellum's real face can briefly be seen, making this the first and only time that her real face has ever been seen.

    • Featured Songs: If I Could Rule the World (parody of Part of Your World sung by Mojo Jojo.
      Tears For Fears Everybody Wants to Rule the World sung by Mojo Jojo.

    • This is the very first time that Mojo wears a cap, shirt, and shorts, instead of his normal outfit.

    • This is not the first time that flash animation was used in the series. Craig McCracken first experimented with the animation style of Flash Animation (prior to the creation of Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends) during a fight scene between The Powerpuff Girls & Him in the season 5 episode "Power-Noia".

    • This episode is rumored to be done in Flash Animation, the same animation Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (Craig McCracken's other show) is animated in. In fact, it is said that the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends' animation crew will be animating this episode.

(Bubbles uses her sonic scream which causes Mojo to spin out of control, the propeller tickles the giant fish balloon which makes it laugh, Mojo falls down)

    • Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends
      Mac & Bloo and Frankie make a cameo.

    • Xena: Warrior Princess
      Frankie and the women in Blossom's fantasy do Xena's war cry.

    • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
      The Professor hitting himself in the face with a newspaper, and saying: 'Bad Dad!, Bad Dad!'. Is a reference to a scene in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", when Dobby repeatedly hits his head on the bed post saying: 'Bad Dobby, Bad Dobby!'.

    • Talking Dog: "I have nothing to say!"
      That's a line Oliver Hardy used in the Laurel & Hardy 1933 film "Dirty Work".

    • Dramatic Chipmunk

      At the very beginning of the episode, a parody of the famous YouTube video "Dramatic Chipmunk" was made by Mojo Jojo.

    • Everybody Wants to Rule The World

      The song Mojo Jojo was singing when he was alone at his base after the girls got the key is "Everybody Wants to Rule The World" by the New Wave British Band Tears for Fears, on their 1985 album Songs of the Big Chair.

    • Speed Racer
      When the Professor pushes the button on the Powerpuffs' dune buggy, it is a reference to Speed Racer.

    • Wacky Racers
      The tank Mojo Jojo was driving to get to the key looks almost like The Mean Machine used in Wacky Racers.

    • Super Mario Kart
      While the Powerpuff Girls are racing in a cart to beat all the other bad guys racing in carts, they fire a green turtle shell. The cart racing and the green turtle shell are references to the action seen in the Nintendo video game masterpiece, Super Mario Kart for the Super N.E.S. and its subsequent sequels released on different consoles.

    • Looney Tunes
      When Mojo Jojo holds up a random sign saying "Curses," before he falls down to the ground, it is a reference to well-known Warner Bros. character Wily E. Coyote. Many times, before Wily E. Coyote falls to the ground, he also holds up a random sign which has something random written on it referring to the situation Wily E. Coyote is in.

    • 1984
      Buttercup's vision of ruling the world is a reference to the George Orwell book/movie about a futuristic world. The world is ruled by an entity called Big Brother (or in Buttercup's case, Big Buttercup) where everyone lived under Totalitarian rule and had to do everything Big Brother/Big Buttercup said or face severe punishment.

    • The Little Mermaid
      The song Mojo Jojo sings as he is going to jail, If I Could Rule the World, is a parody sung to the tune of the Disney movie song called Part of Your World.

    • Frankie
      When Blossom shows her version of a perfect world, you can see Frankie from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends in the background.

    • When the Mayor takes the key from the girls after a long battle between them, he says the famous phrase of the Amazing Spiderman: "With great power comes great responsibility".
