      • Ellenor: (Cheerfully) It does happen...just like our mothers tell us.
        Lindsay: Yeast?
        Ellenor: (Laughing) No, love.

      • Lindsay: Helen Gamble, Ally McBeal.
Helen: Hi. Ah, ah, I've been looking for a skirt that short. I haven't been able to find one.
Ally: Oh, well, they're really not in yet. But they'll be coming back.
Helen: Really? How can you be sure?
Ally: I'm wearing one. (Ally leaves the office.)
Helen: (To Lindsay) We don't like her.

      • Ally: You're disgusting.
Bobby: Which is exactly why you came to me. Murder cases are ugly, Ally. You guys didn't want to get your hands dirty, so you came to us. We did the dirty work. If we get the acquittal, I'm sure you'll stick it on your resume.
Ally: You make it sound so good, if I close my eyes I can almost see you as a hero. Too bad my eyes are open.
Bobby: Well, if they're open try to see the real world.
Ally: You basically offered a lie into evidence. That is not lawyering in the real world, Bobby. That is what lawyers like you claim to rationalize what you are.
Bobby: You know what I am?
        Bobby: Do you?

    • NOTES (2)

      • Kelly Connell makes a guest starring appearance as Dr. Peters in this episode. This is a tie-in to a third DEK series, Picket Fences, although Connell played a different role in the series. In PF, Connell was a recurring actor, playing the part of Carter Pike M.E.

      • Part 1 of this story aired as episode #20 of Ally McBeal, titled The Inmates. Because this story crossed networks, neither the Fox nor ABC network affiliates did much to promote this event.
