AIRED:
Ellenor defends a 'slow' teenager accused of killing a younger boy. A witness comes forward claiming to have information exonerating her client, but Ellenor suspects he's lying. Helen calls in a police officer when his son is under suspicion in a homicide. Representing the accused, Bobby argues the officer was acting as an agent of the court, not a father.moreless

This episode was highly interesting but very frustrating as it lets not only one, but both cases in this episode have disappointing outcomes. Two killers walk on technicalities which really makes you feel sick on how unfair "justice" can be at times. It ends with an interesting monologue that is very suiting to the episode. This wasn't a fun episode to watch since I always want the bad guys to get it. But better luck next time. I'm starting to love this series as much as I'm starting to hate the american justice system if it is like it's portrayed in this episode.moreless
  • Just another example of great writing, kinda repetitive a little but all in all it was a good episode.

A young boy get tricked by the d.a which i didnt see coming, neither did the father. The show have a excellent way of digging wrongful out of anything.I love how eugene let bobby know that sure it was legal morally but illegally done. This is when eugene started to ache again from his profession. Sure he does his job good but what about at the end of the day when you are left when a dead body and no one convicted, not really the case in this epi but past and surely present he will feel the weight coming down on him.moreless

    • Richard: You had your evaluations. The kid can stand trial.
Ellenor: Come on, I know there's a big humanitarian trapped inside that little Nazi body.
Richard: Oh, yes. Make little jokes. That's very big of you, Ellenor.

    • Bobby: What are you thinking?
Eugene: Their case is that confession, after he asked for his lawyer.
Bobby: He confessed to his father.
      Eugene: Who's a cop.
Bobby: But he didn't confess to him as a cop. He was talking to his dad.
Eugene: That'll be Helen's argument. Doesn't have to be ours.
