"The 53rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards" was hosted by Ellen DeGeneres in November after being delayed by a month.

The network which got the most nominations is HBO with 94, followed by NBC (76), ABC (63), CBS (46), and FOX (40). The Sopranos heads all shows with 22 nominations. In comedy, Will & Grace narrowly edges out Frasier with 12 nominations. For variety or musical specials, the Academy Awards tops all other shows.
