  • After recieving his first loss at the hands of Tezuka, Ryoma's "own style" of tennis, not just his father's imitation, begins to emerge.

As the match between Tezuka and Ryoma finishes, it is revealed that Ryoma lost, his one first ever. Tezuka played all-out to try to make Ryoma develop his own way of playing, instead of just copying the way his father plays. While Ryoma is playing Nanjiro, we see a hint about Ryoma playing in a different style, especially when he hits some sort of shot that completely shocks Nanjiro. Though Ryoma is till cocky as ever, we get to see a more angsty, contemplative side of him that is new and refreshing. Although the flashbacks get kind of annoying, this episode is a great one and definitely a must-see, especially for Tezuka and Ryoma fans. One of the best season finales(of any show) I've seen!moreless
