  • This series only ran for 2 seasons from, 1950-1952, but was highly acclaimed. Helen Hayes made her TV debut,and Melvlyn Douglas, Raymond Massey, Emond O'Brien, and Peggy Wood also starred. The First episode was called, "You Can't Take It With You".

    The title was real, as pulitzer prize winners told their stories. Maxwell Anderson, Thornton Wilder, Marc Connely, Ena Ferber and James Michener put their prizes on the small screen.

    Also presented were prize winners Emlyn Williams for "The Late Christopher Bean" with Helen hayes on October 27, 1950. Booth Tarkington did "The Magnificent Ambersons" starring Ruth Hussy on November3, 1950,and Sidney Howard did "The Happy Journey" with Jack Lemmon on May 4, 1951.
