The Quiz Kids was TV game show that began on NBC during the earliest
days of television in 1949. Host Joe Kelly would pose difficult
questions to five teenager with exceptional IQs and academic records.
The top three contestants would continue to the next week, where they
would be joined by two new teens. All of the contestants were under 16
years of age. "Quiz Kids" began as a radio program in 1940. After the
first TV version went off the air in 1953, later versions include a 1956
