  • The Quest Team heads to the Louisiana bayou to see a gov. project that can open a portal to another dimension. Beings made of pure energy come out to take Earth. Benton gets sent to their world and Jonny and Jessie go after him. The lab is destroyed.

The idea of alternate dimensions in this episode was very interesting (and similar to Star Gate with the way they go from our dimension to another), and the energy beings that come out of the gate to turn Earth into their world were pretty unique to say the least. The way Dr. Quest stopped them was a little far fetched though. He encased the lab in a forcefield as well as himself and then blew it up. The forcefield contained the blast and the one around him protected him from the blast. I, of course, would like to know how these forcefields were generated, but given the nature of this show, I suppose anything is possible right? We see yet another one of Race's ex-girlfriends, and for some reason, the animators decided to dress Jessie in a different outfit instead of her standard one even though all the other characters are dressed in their regular outfits. It was cool how Jessie and Jonny used their hover boards to go into the other dimension and get Dr. Quest. The other dimension was strange looking and it was complete with a giant monster that tried to keep Jonny, Jessie, and Benton from escaping back to our world, so that was entertaining. Even more entertaining was getting to see Benton use a hover board. He was actually pretty good, but it was funny to see him cruising along with the two teenagers lol Finally, the scene when Jonny and Jessie are going to enter the portal to retrieve Dr. Quest was really cute as Jonny takes Jessie's hand in his and they fly through the portal together hand-in-hand. A rather sweet J&J moment and who doesn't love those? :)
