  • The Ghostbusters are called to the home of a recently deceased mystery novelist, where ghosts are acting out her unfinished final novel. Winston must read the novel and solve the mystery to put the ghosts to rest.

A clever episode that is a comedic version of a classic whodunit mystery. This is rather different from the normal Ghostbusters episode, the guys are in a comedy of errors and to my memory don't use their proton packs at all. The real comedy comes from the ghosts and the rather crazy story they are enacting. The Ghostbuster's reactions to the story are also quite hilarious. We learn new things about the guys in this episode, such as Winston loves mysteries and is really good at solving whodunits. There is also a joking nod to mystery writer Agatha Christie: the author in the episode is named Agatha Grisley. The title is also a play on the mystery term "Whodunit." The types of books Ms. Christie used to write.
