    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Goof: When the Boogieman bursts into Jason's bedroom, he breaks the door apart. When the Ghostbusters show up, they kick down a suddenly intact bedroom door.

      • When the Ghostbusters are tied up by the Boogeyman, the amount of rope wrapped around them changes from scene to scene.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Peter: Give it up, Boogieman!
Ray: Yeah, we're not a bunch of kids you can just scare away!
Boogieman: On the contrary, I can scare you...to death!

      • Jason: (on phone) Egon, this PKE meter is showing a balance of minus 9. Am I doing something wrong?
Egon: Minus 9?! That's the reading for the Boogieman! He's coming your way. Meet us outside and we'll be right over!
        Winston: What's going on, Egon?
Egon: The Boogieman's heading for the kids! Let's go!
(Ghostbusters grab their proton packs and run)
        Catherine: What'd he say?
Jason: He-he said the Boogeman's coming.
Boogieman: (bursts through door) Wrong, my child! The Boogieman is here!

      • Boogieman: Did I scare you? Good! Especially you, Egon, because the more afraid you are...the more it feeds me!

      • Boogieman: (to Egon) So...it was you! You whose fear which gave me the strength to return! Because of you, I shall have my revenge!

      • Boogieman: Ghostbusters! You had no right to do this to me! All my precious portals into children's closets all useless now! But somehow, someway, I'll get out and make you pay!

    • NOTES (4)

      • Donald, Jason, & Catherine, the Junior Ghostbusters makes their first appearance in this episode.

      • The first Boogieman episode aired in October of 1986, and it's nearly a year later. Supposedly, it took the Bogeyman a year to get out of his in-between place, if the show does keep track of the time between episodes and seasons.

      • During an interview he had, former story editor J. Michael Straczynski said that he would rather kill himself than use the Junior Ghostbusters in an episode of the RGB cartoon. Straczynski also mentioned that he would only use the Junior Ghostbusters in a script if he got to run them over with a truck. Needless to say, he had the right idea.

      • Watt, the ghost from Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood, makes a cameo in this episode towards the end.
