Do you think this was a bit of an iffy choice for Nick?

Do you think that when they put this on Nick it was a bit iffy? I used to watch it with my dad and I thought it was pretty funny, but then my mom talked to my dad about it being too edgy for us young kids back then, so I avoided it. Then I read the controversy. I mean, really! What do you think!

It was kind of "over the top" for a kids show, but don't forget that it came out in the '90s. Back then, people were more lenient on content in kids shows. Just look at Rocko's Modern Life{even though I love that show}.

I think it was deffffinitely iffy. They took the gross out humor to a whole other level on that show.

I could how some people would find it "iffy." The episodes were very gross, and had a good amount of adult jokes, similar to Rocko. I personally love the Spumco episodes (first 2 seasons) as I feel they were perfect and hilarious

The show was very controversial in its time although I'm not sure if I'd define it as risque, pre se. A bold move for Nickelodeon, maybe. The episodes were gross and the concept was a little grim but the content was no more harmless than the/your average, run-of-the-mill children's show (despite the rating it got/had back in those days.)

Maybe it is a bit iffy, but it's still a fun show to watch. And those with weak constitutions don't have to watch it.

I never said I hated the show. I found gross jokes funny at that age. I would laugh at farts, poop, snot and boogers all the time.
