There is always something about putting comidy archatypes in a military enviorment that is just down right funny. This is my favorate episode in the entire show, it's the funniest thing I've seen since the film "Stripes".

This episode just has so many memorable funny moments there is not one dull moment and I was practically on the ground laughing. Stimpy we see is content and obediant in the army setting but same can't be said for Ren who thought it was easy street but instead was the road to Hell.
I can't say that I feel the least bit sorry for Ren because after the abusive additude he always exercises I felt he was getting a taste of his own medicine which made it all the more funny, and boy does Ren suffer.

I like that begining moment when we see both Ren and Stimpy get some sort of boaster shot and we see how much pain it has delivered them, though I wondered how the heck could Stimpy get it on his tougue.

Anyway we see the drill sargent come down real hard on the two mainly Ren. Really loved that vocal delivery it's was both comically exagerated but at the same time menicing (I wouldn't want this guy to be my drill sergent) I'll never forget that one liner "ATTEND HOOTTT!" that always cracks me up.

I really like that part where he asks both of them to give him 20 push ups, Stimpy does it but Ren both doesn't understand the command and is just plain lazy, he just simply gives the drill sergent a twenty dollar bill and makes a wise guy remark afterward and then we see the Drill Seargent get irritated and angered so much that the 20 litterally burns on his hand.

Then we see both get that classic cleched disaplinary punishment where they had to peal thousands of potatoes. What made that obserdly funny was in the latter when we saw both having to peal Watermellons and H-Bombs which is completely pointless.

And of course that finale was great when we see both Ren and Stimpy in a hightly sophsiticated tank and as they go down to war they sing the Star Spangled Anthym. But their parachottes are shot and they go down fast and explode. Comic gold

The Poudered Toast Man short was good I wouldn't say anything groundbreakingly special but funny all the same. Poudered Toast Man is sort of a parody on both Superman and those Breakfast Ceral mascots. We see his heroic acts which are funny my favorate was in the last half of the scetch when he is freeing the president of a rather uncomfortable and embarassing problem, I can't help but feel the film "There's Something about Mary" ripped this off but all the same comic gold.moreless

They say only the army makes a man out of you. If that's true, wait 'til they see the cat and dog who have decided it's time to serve.

Let's be grateful the two don't make it a career.

Ren can't understand the drill sergeant's screaming. Only Stimpy can decode the harsh missives, and the cat staggers around learning how to march and do drills. I don't think letting your tongue hang out is the recommended way to salute...

Then in part two, we meet one of Earth's greatest, uh, he's not really a person, is he? Anyway, they call him Powdered Toast Man, because he...gives people powdered toast. That's his super power. The stuff most people turn over the toaster, shake out of it and throw away. Well, he does save the president, so there's that.

Who knew breakfast food could be so important?moreless
