Goof: During the scene where Stimpy is watching television, you'll notice him changing places every so often. First, he's sitting on his litter box, then on the floor. Seconds later, he's sitting on his litter box again.
Over the first shot of Hollywood, the head that rises up and down from out of nowhere is a caricature of John Kricfalusi's favorite actor, Kirk Douglas.
In Stimpy's cereal commercial, if you look closely in a certain scene, his eyes aren't visible, and only his pupils can be seen, which seem to be as large as his eyes. This was an error made by the overseas animation studio, and John K. left it in because it looked very funny.
Nitpick: Stimpy is reciting his poem silently, yet Ren knew what to put for the next line.
Goof: Stimpy's party hat disappears, when he sits down.
In some scenes, Ren's eyelids are black but in the rest of the episodes his eyelids are the same as his skin color.
After Mr. Horse says "Yes I am." Stimpy's mouth moves but no dialogue comes out until the next camera angle shows him saying "Would you please take a sniff of Cat Box A?"
When Mr. Horse is looking at Exhibit B, on the label it says A, but then without cutting out, it automatically changes to B.

Muddy Mudskipper Theme Lyrics
Who's the greatest Mudskipper of them all? Who can skip through the mud with the greatest of ease? What kind of wonderful guy Who can crawl like a dog without scraping his knees? Who's got segmented eyes?
It's Muddy... Mudskipper! It's Muddy... Mudskipper! It's the Muddy... Mud... Skipper Show!
Muddy: (imitating the Ranger from Yogi Bear cartoons) Get your hand outta that pic-a-nic basket, you dusty old cat! (whispers) Psst, hey kid, say your line! Stimpy: O-oh yeah. (imitates other cartoon characters) Jane, stop this crazy thing! Well, blow me down! I'm huntin' for a wabbit! (does a realistic Mr. Jinks impression) I hate meeces to pieces!
The music heard under the Gritty Kitty commercial sequence (at the supermarket with Stimpy and Mr. Horse) is the underscore 'Stop Gap'.
Originally, the microphone was planned to go into Stimpy's mouth during the end of part one - 'Stimpy's Big Day'. However, it seemed to remind Nick executives of a certain sexual method, so the scene was animated with the microphone going into his nose. The mic in the mouth was never animated.
The version of this episode on Spike TV does not include the Log commercial.
There was a rumor where there were scenes in the episode where Muddy Muddskipper had a cigar and later the cigar was digitally removed. It also claimed that the cigar was originally left in, but later airings had it removed. So far, the rumor has been proven false.
Slinky The Log jingle is mostly to the tune of the 'Slinky' jingle, including the part of the log rolling down the stairs.
The "lines" Stimpy says in the Muddy Cartoon are references to the cartoon characters George Jetson, Elmer Fudd, Popeye, and a realistic impression of Mr. Jinx. It should be noted that in the 1990s/early 2000s, Billy West would take over the roles of Popeye and Elmer Fudd.
Muddy Mudskipper is a parody of old Hanna Barbera cartoon characters.
