FOP got dumb and repiditive. The Replacements IMO is good compared to that.

Byfar FOP! Even though the newer FOP episodes leave a lot to be desired, they still pwn over The Replacements.

What's ironic is that this show is such a rip of FOP. Look at the kids' phones, with which they make requests (wishes) to change their lives - they're pink and green. And then they make the changes and of course the changes screw up things worse and then EVERYTHING GOES BACK TO NORMAL. And there's a dumb daddy and a slightly smarter mom. Gee, all that sounds familiar. The only difference is that there's a talking car, which is a rip of Knight Rider.

The thing is, while FOP has some likeable characters (except for "New-School Cosmo"), TR has none.

It's not that much of a rip-off. I haven't seen the books this show is based off of so I couldn't say either way. The similarities you have stated only reflect coincidence and a common theme. The inspiration for CAR could be Knight Rider but I wouldn't call it a rip-off (though I don't know anything about Knight Rider). I'm sick of having these conversations.

Factoring in the later years of FOP, "The Replacements" wins by a country mile.

    Think about it:

    - are any adults afraid of their own children on this show?

    - are there pointless potty humor gags on this show?

    - is Dick constantly insulting K and calling her a nag? (moot point, I know, since she'd hand him his behind on a plate if he did)

    Your witness.

Fairly Odd parents! Daren Norris does the voice of Dick Daring on this show, and Cosmo on the Fairly Odd Parents.

P.S. This show is OK, FOP is funnier!

I liked F.O.P. back in the day, but I haven't seen it in a long time. I LOVE the replacements (it's very creative), but I'm not a fanatic of it.
