The Resort

Show Summary

The Resort is a reality television series that originally aired on Network Ten in Australia. It consists of six one-hour episodes that ran from February 2004 to April 2004. The Resort takes place on a Fijiian island, where 15 cast members have 13 weeks to turn an existing resort into a three-star hotel or better. The cast members perform the renovation and they also serve as staff for the hotel, which comprises the majority of the footage. The series also shows one-on-one sessions, in which the cast members discuss their feelings about the project and other members of the show. Cast members hold a vote each week to decide who must leave the show, and the members remaining at the end of the series split a cash prize. Weekly guests and sponsors contribute towards the prize pool. The series is produced by Touchdown Television, which continues to operate the resort. The Resort is hosted by Jon Stevens, an Australian rock singer.
