  • A strange young lad turns up in a household, out of the blue, upsets the family structure and then disappears again.

In the early sixties TV like this was uncommon in the Netherlands. Utterly absorbing stuff.

My father made me watch this series (black and white), when I was very young. I clearly remember the moment where, out in pouring rain, the lad shouts, "Rainbow, rainbow".

I was reminded of this episode when much later watching 'Teorama' (Fellini) with Terence Stamp, which was very similar.

I wish it were possible to get the series on DVD.moreless
