Row, Row, Row Your Boat was a perfect episode of The River and a fun season finale. There was a lot of interesting drama, intrigue and suspense. I liked the story and it was great to get a better sense of the magnitude of what the crew was really facing. Secrets are revealed, there is death and despair. The possession was scary and well done. Lincoln was convulsing and twisting and the way he did was creepy and spine tingling. I really enjoyed the ending and how the River was changing. I certainly look forward to more episodes or another season of The River!!!!!!!!!moreless

Bringing the deceased back was too easy... and then we had emo Spidey on our hands. And suddenly because he was previously possessed by the Boiuna, Lena can no longer trust Lincoln. All of this makes for the best episode ever!

...not.

I'll give it the benefit that it was suspenseful and compelling and gave Emmet some screen-time balance, but this was the first episode where cramming so much into 43 minutes failed to produce the same guilty pleasure the rest of the series has. This episode lacked just about everything its predecessors did and missed the mark for a season finale (or for a series finale).

It was predictable, it moved too quickly and it bounced around. They tried to develop too many characters' personalities and ended up only giving us more questions. It's been a good run, River, but I'll be heading out.moreless
