A quintessal Rockford epsiode-a crazy Milita and Lt Diehl are after Poor old Jim! By the way when Rockford remarks on the Taro/24th Division -James garner really did served with this unit in the Korean War!
  • A homegrown militia, an angry cleaning lady and a grenade in Jim's trailer!

"Battle of Canoga Park" pits Jim against a number of adversaries...Lt. Diehl in the police department; a homegrown militia under the command of "Red Eye Leader;" and Viola Mencke, a bitter cleaning lady who rubs Jim in all the wrong ways.

We have Jim facing a murder charge when his gun (usually safely stowed away in his cookie jar) is used to kill a gas station owner. That plunges Jim into a mystery involving stolen weapons, empty land in the desert where explosions are going off and an attempt on his life involving a hand grenade.

Nice support from Joe Santos in this one, extremely underrated as an actor in my opinion. Season Four's quality streak continues...I am having a blast with this on DVD!moreless
