  • Becker calls in a favour after getting stuck up to his eyebrows in trouble.

The Rockford Files presented many of televisions finest moments. There was also a sense of chemistry that binded together the show's instant appeal, Jim and Rocky's bickering, the slimey antics of Angel, and the tension between Jim and Beth. Dennis Becker has always been that sort of "chalk and cheese" figure to stand alongside Rockford, but despite this, there was always a genuine bond between the two, and this installment cements that bond, when Becker gets the rap for dealing with "Mexican mud". Naturally, Dennis has been framed, and Jim takes a chair across the ribs and a painful dose of Chapman to get Becker off the hook after the Sgt. comes close to a breakdown. Great plot, pacing, and distinguished performances from the cast make this one absolutely unmissable.
