Of course, it wouldn't be a good "Rockford" episode if Jimbo didn't land in some kind of legal trouble, but you need a scorecard to keep track of all of the charges he racks up over the course of "The Trouble With Warren."
Ron Rifkin is the titular Warren, and he does a great job of making his character irritating enough but never so much that the viewer starts to dislike him. Not even Jim can bring himself all the way there, despite a lot of convincing reasons to do so. The corporate fraud case is a bit convoluted (again, a sign of a good "Rockford"), but we get some good scenes with an exasperated Chapman and plenty of Gretchen Corbett. She gives one of her best performances here, and her chemistry with James Garner is effortless as always.moreless
