  • Are militant feminists trying to kill Rockford's new client?

    9.2
Rockford's new client is Ann Louise Clement, an author who advocates femininity over feminism, and claims someone is trying to kill her. After two attempts, it starts to look like a publicity stunt...until her agent is killed in her home. Rockford figures it all out and exposes Ann Louise as having faked the previous attempts on her life, but that still doesn't resolve the issue of the murder.

A solid "Rockford" with a straightforward mystery (that is anything but) and has Jim being conned, but not for long.

The Rocky/Jim dialogue about feminism is great. Noah Berry was such a good actor...he makes Rocky old and set in his ways, but not stupid. (Frequently, he had more sense than Jimbo anyway!) The ending is also great, with Jim's final aside to his client a highlight of an episode with several great one-liners and exchanges.moreless
