Rosie O'Donnell was a wonderful talk show host and this show was and still is by far the best talk show to ever be on television. She was innovative, different, moving and inspiring.

I made sure to watch it every single day the entire time it was on the air. She was a breath of fresh air and really knew how to make people feel good.

Her monologues were always hysterical and she always had the best guests. I miss the show very much, but am thrilled she is on The View. Even though I don't get to watch much - I love to see it when I can because really...nothing beats Rosie!moreless

  • A Great Talk Show

The Rosie O'Donnell Show was like a breath of fresh air when it debuted in 1996. She had a true love of talk shows and was a true fan of many of the guests who appeared on her show. She brought so much attention to Broadway and was a real support system of the arts. I don't know what happened, but around the third season of her show Rosie seemed to get angry and it started to show in her program. She said that the events of Columbine deeply affected her and that may be true but she took it too far beginning with the Tom Selleck interview. I am in total agreement with her views on gun control, but that was an embarrassment and I never really looked at her in the same light again. After the show ended her anger seemed to intensify lashing out at everyone from Bill Clinton to Joan Rivers. I am curious to see how she is on The View because people like Rivers are welcome guests on that show. Will she be welcome once Rosie comes on board?moreless

  • A long lost fave, much missed. Rosie had a desk, filled with cool stuff to let us check out, not a commercial, just a friendly nudge. She made her monologue personal, but in a funny way, never fully trashing on anyone in the headlines. Upbeat, funny, fasmoreless

I will always wish upon that first night star, that Rosie changes her mind, and comes back to us. She has a blossoming personal life, and was well-received on her coming out issues. So, whats stopping the best talk show host from returning, I only wish I knew. 3:00-4:00 Monday-Friday were always the BEST. She had what seemed to be a friendship with everyone that sat next to her, but she didnt lick their faces, and share secrets every three seconds. (with the exception of Tom Cruise, of course). She was generous with the audience, and shared her views on things she felt passionate about, like gun control, child abuse, adoption, etc. Rosie laughed at her imperfections, and let us all feel like family, I know no one will fill those tennis shoes, but I would love to see her put them back on.moreless

Rosie was hilarious and charming and funny and kind. She took the late night model and used it for daytime, much like the Ellen show today. Gotta love those lesbians. Based in New York and a New Yorker herself, I think it's wonderful that middle America got to see so many Broadway performers do their thing, have interviews and get the credit they were do. It's so funny how she fawns over her guest. Striensand. Houston. Cruise! Hello!moreless
