  • A Great Talk Show

The Rosie O'Donnell Show was like a breath of fresh air when it debuted in 1996. She had a true love of talk shows and was a true fan of many of the guests who appeared on her show. She brought so much attention to Broadway and was a real support system of the arts. I don't know what happened, but around the third season of her show Rosie seemed to get angry and it started to show in her program. She said that the events of Columbine deeply affected her and that may be true but she took it too far beginning with the Tom Selleck interview. I am in total agreement with her views on gun control, but that was an embarrassment and I never really looked at her in the same light again. After the show ended her anger seemed to intensify lashing out at everyone from Bill Clinton to Joan Rivers. I am curious to see how she is on The View because people like Rivers are welcome guests on that show. Will she be welcome once Rosie comes on board?
