  • QUOTES (1)

    • Simon: A funny thing about people is, they always put their safe behind a Renoir. So where's the Renoir? Ah. Can't be right every time. Now there's a clue. I thought so. It has been said on more occasions than you and I have had eggs for breakfast that crime does not pay. Well, I and this little-bitty safe here are going to prove that it does pay, and pay handsomely, to the tune of 250,000 pounds. Ah. Of course, when people are as careless as this with their property, it's ridiculously easy.

  • NOTES (2)

    • The plot bears a striking resemblance to the basic plot-situation in Desmond Bagley's novel "The Feedom Trap", published in 1970 (although there the idea of an organization existing to spring convicts from jail was placed in an espionage context). This novel was filmed by John Huston in 1973 as "The Mackintosh Man", with Paul Newman and James Mason in leading roles.

    • This is the first colour episode that Ivor Dean has appear in as Inspector Teal.
