  • Interesting episode

I liked some parts of this episode, especially the storylines involving Amy and Ben, and Adrien and Grace.

There were some shocking moments in this episode as welll that made it interesting to watch, like Alice and Jack hanging out together, or Lauren's father turning out to be Ricky's psychiatrist. I actually thought Madison was the lesser of two evils here and couldn't stand Lauren for lying to Amy about making out with Ricky.

It was also nice to see George interacting with his ex-wife and get to know a little about their past history. I'm still not into Henry and Alice together as a couple, and I hope they don't put them in scenes together because it is really boring. I thought Henry with Ashley was fun to watch, but that's only because I like Ashley's character. Overall, I don't think anything really major happened in this episode other than Amy and Adrien's decision, but it was still had its moments.moreless
  • Amy goes back to school.

This episode had some development, and finally Amy is back in school. This episode did feel forgettable to me though. Does anyone really do anything? Okay, so people start finding out about Lauren & Ricky. Bleh. Grace takes off her chastity ring, and doesn't want Jack back, she wants Ricky. She helps Amy go back to school, and Ben gets beat up, Grace also helps Ben, with that issue. The end was sort of over-dramatic, but it was funny. Henry & Alice have sex for the first time. I think the only big plot was Adrian's plot. After what her father told her in the last episode, now he wants her to live with him, and Adrian starts blaming the counseler, when she wanted this, and all of a sudden, she changes her mind? Doesn't make sense. Adrian & Ricky's relationship is so destructive, they fight, and then they lean in for a kiss? Grace isn't going to like this one bit. Good episode, with some development. We also see Amy's baby bump!moreless
  • Tenth Episode

    7.3
Anne has to go help Mimzy get on the right plane to get her to Europe after she got on the wrong flight. So, she goes to Chicago while Amy is supposed to start her new school but George doesn't think she should go there and try and talks her into staying at her old school. Amy returns to school. Adrian's father shows up and wants Adrian to come live with him and his family. Lauren and Madison try to keep the secret that Ricky is a patient of Lauren's and that he may be mental. Ben gets beat up by someone whos calling Amy a slut and Grace helps Ben after she finds him with a black eye. Henry and Alice are broken up. The final scene of this episode was so cheesy, I mean the whole were going to walk you to class and the music playing was too cheesy to me, sorry.moreless
  • Henry totally didn't shower for school.

    8.5
I can't believe Henry and Alice broke up, I can't believe they had sex. It was good to finally see a George/Kathleen scene and with Adrian's mom it made the P.T.A moment one of the best of the episode. Adrian's dad a little weird one moment he wants nothing to do with her the next he's playing a custody card. Once again Madison and Lauren will prove to us they can't keep a secret (sorry Ricky your cover's blown) and the sad part is Grace will probably sleep with him after she finds out. Madison really scored some points with me today and proved that she might be Amy's only friend. A lot of Spanish speaking in this episode (totally awesome), Mr. Molina doesn't sound like he speaks a word of Spanish though. Grace lost it; I think I heard the words marry Ricky escape her lips. The ending scene made me laugh and cry making this episode a tearjerker.moreless
  • Amy returns to school.

    5.9
The Secret Life of the American Teenager has entertained us for ten weeks. There have been some classic episodes and some installments that made us put our hands in our face in disbelief. The one thing all those episodes had in common was that they all felt like part of a story but this hour seemed to jump the shark. The dialogue was outrageous, the plotlines were unrealistic and the acting was borderline maniacal. The fight scene was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen, and the final scene with the band was the nail in the coffin.

I liked that this episode featured a big Adrian storyline as Francia Raisa plays the role perfectly. Steve Schirippa continues to be great as Ben's dad, but was horribly underutilized in this episode. As always Mark Derwin stole the show with his performance as George Juergens. He's absolutely hilarious and entirely believable in his role. While this episode was far from great, he's the one constant source of enjoyment in The Secret Life of the American Teenager. I mean, he still calls Henry Harry!moreless
