Sorry to say that but this show is becoming a little bit borring : alaways the same issues with teenage loves and the risks you take by having sex.

The good part of this season premiere is that Amy and Ricky start acting like parents (like in the season two finale) and stop being jealous of each other.

First I thought that Adrian being pregnant is not a good idea but in fact it's not a bad idea at all because they can talk about abortion and take the story of the teen pregnancy from another perspective which is completely different. But the writers have to be careful because this season seems in this first episode to be a little bit repetitive :

- another teenage pregnancy

- Ben and Amy back together

I'm a little bit upset by this season premiere I was excepting so much .... I just have to wait and see what this season will bring to us....moreless

Good season premiere! It wasn't anything too special, but it had some really good scenes. I'm not a fan of Amy and Ben getting back together. It took them forever to break up, and now their back together. I don't care for Ashley's storyline about being on the pill. I wish she would get some darker storylines. Anyways, I do find the Ricky/Ashley relationship interesting, because it seems like they could be more than just friends, and sometimes it's seems like their only just friends. I'm enjoying the Jack/Madison scenes so far. I really like how Jack has to find a home since his father is taking a job somewhere else. I love the scene where Madison is trying to convince her parents to let Jack move in. I also loved all the Adrian scenes. I love how she told everyone that she's not pregnant. It seems like she lied to everyone. I hope she did. I really hope the next episode or sometime this season it reveals she's pregnant, and that she gets an abortion. Anyways, I give this episode a 7/10.moreless

And so the smash hit The Secret Life has returned for another season. This was essentially a highlight episode, a recap special, reminding the viewers of what happened last year, and not really giving them a sense of what the future holds. Ben and Amy got back together, like many predicted they would, but they did not really give a good explanation as to why.

It's summer though and this is probably one of the better shows on when the temperature is up, but hopefully the season gets a little better than this. For a season premiere not too much happened here.moreless

Solid premiere.

Well I have to say, that this premiere was good, but it definitely wasn't as good as the season two premier in which Grace's father dies. Still regardless, this was an enjoyable premiere. Adrian tells everyone that she isn't pregnant. She apparently had her period, so everything is fine. Ben doesn't believe her so he goes over her house to investigate, Ricky starts to become suspicious that something is going on between Ben & Adrian. Meanwhile Amy waits around for Ben to call her back since in the season finale, Ben said he loved Amy, but now he's ignoring her. It didn't seem like there was much going on with Amy in this epsiode, that's never good since she is the main character.

Ashley & George go behind Anne's back to get birth control, for Ashley. Anne starts to grow suspicious, and with the help of Amy, she puts two & two together and finds out George & Anne had lied. We also find out that Amy is on the pill.

They've done the "birth control" plot before in season one with Grace, but I didn't mind since it was happening to the most unlikely person to have sex: Ashley. Ricky & Ashley's friendship continue to develop. Grace expects to be more than friends with Ben, but Ben gets back together with Amy in the end of the episode. Was anyone else jumping for joy when Ben & Amy got back together, it felt so right. But you can't help but feel bad for Grace, she's always second best, to Adrian, to Amy. Jack's parents reveal that they're moving to Phoenix, so he has to find a place to stay. If not, he has to leave. Madison's parents don't let Jack stay, so now Jack is in a bit of a predicament. Is anyone else really hating the Jack/Madison relationship. I never liked Madison, and last season, I hated her with a passion. So no Madison/Jack for me, thanks.

So at the end of every Secret Life episode, I noticed something "big" happens before cutting to the Brenda Hampton credit. And boy, in this case, it was pretty big. Adrian turns out to be pregnant! She lied, and she's considering abortion. A topic that hasn't been thoroughly discussed since season one Amy was considering it, so I'm excited to see how it plays out. I especially want to find out how Adrian's pregnancy will affect everyone else's relationships. So a solid season opener, that opened a lot of new plots, and got me excited for the season.moreless

In this episode of The Secret Life of the American teenager, the following happens. We open this season, with Adrian telling Ben that she isn't pregnant, but is she telling the truth? Jack's parents are moving away and tell him he can stay as long as he stays with a friend. Ashley and George go to the doctor as she wants to go on birth control. When they get home, they lie to Anne, but she soon confronts Ashley and she confesses. During this confession we learn that Amy is also on birth control. As the episode ends, we see Adrian making a phone call to a women's health clinic, and holding to speak to a councilor.moreless
