well i didn't think he was all that bad.. he was kinda creepy, though

but the main problem i think is that they are making us choose between ricky and his father (as in, they're making us decide who is telling the truth and who is lying). personally, i choose ricky, but that might just because we know him a little better than his father

ricky's dad sounded pretty genuine the whole time he was talking, like when he offered financial assistance to amy's dad. but he was kinda creepy just sitting outside amy's house and going up to the amy, ashley, AND grace without introducing himself.. creeper.

i'm really excited about this show now.. it's getting really interesting =D i looked on spoilerfix to see if there are any spoilers and i can't find any!! lol

    Oh definitely a creep.

As for choosing sides, I definately pick Ricky.

I really liked this episode because of his dad. He really brought out the anger bottled up inside Ricky, and he also brought out the true Ricky.

This episode definitely was one of my favorites. The acting from the majority of the characters was absolutely fantastic, we saw some major character development, and more secrets being revealed.

yeah i agree with you, atbg4evs, it was a really good episode.. one of my favorites.. before, i used to just watch this show to give me something to do, but this episode definitely marked something new for the show.. now i think of it as an actual.. show
lol i think part of the reason we liked it is because it didn't have madison and what's-her-face.. lauren? or something.. the episode wasn't filled with fluff - it was all drama, which made it a lot more interesting, and a whole lot better!

i have to say, ben and amy are getting on my nerves a bit.. i know ben loves her, but he really just needs to shut his mouth right now.. it's not his baby, so he shouldn't get a say when deciding to keep the baby or give it up for adoption. and amy just goes along with him... although i think she's starting to see the light. i was really glad that ricky stood his ground when he said he didn't want to give the baby up. although i see the adoption side of the argument, too.. tough decision..

which character was it that said something to the effect of 'you shouldn't choose based on whatever is easiest for you, you have to make the decision with the baby's best-interest in mind.' ..? i thought that was really good advice

He definitely seems like a bad dude, but the ending with him telling Ricky that he knows people that would pay good money for a newborn baby was just sleazy. And even worse, the look on Ricky's face suggested that he is actually contemplating it. This storyline should get very interesting in the weeks to come.

Was I hallucinating, or did Rickys dad say you can get good money for a healthy Caucasian baby?

OK, creepy. I'm definately beginning to understand where Ricky's personality is coming from. I also understand that it could be a lot worse considering what he grew up with. Ricky's dad definately seems creepy, especially when he offered to sell the baby. The fact that Ricky's dad was put in jail for what he did suggests that there was definately some proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Ricky wasn't "lying". What kid would lie about a thing like that, anyway?

I'm also beginning to like Amy's dad less and less. He just accepted what Ricky's father told him without a single question or argument. I know he's pissed off at Ricky for knocking up Amy, but that doesn't mean that Ricky would lie like that to put his father in jail! To put someone in jail for a crime like that would probably involve more than one testimony, and quite possibly some doctor examinations. It would have to be proven to a jury, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Ricky's father did indeed do this. I didn't believe the whole "lying" story for a minute.

Also, how did he get Grace's number? I missed the episode before this one, so if anyone knows how he got Grace's number (or when I can catch last week's episode again), please let me know. The fact that he's creeping around, tracking down Ricky and Grace at the batting cages or tracking down Amy and Ashley at their home is really creepy.

Plus, I think the PSA at the end of the show makes it clear that Ricky wasn't lying about this.

Ricky's dad is a total creepo. However with that being said i loved this episode.

I was really like completely in the zone the whole hour i was watching it! I couldnt believe it got over so fast. Anyways Im happy we are learning more about Ricky and his past. Ricky is definitly not lying.

Whoever said that the reason they think the eppy was better is because LAuren and Madison werent in it, i totally agree. I havent ever been fans of them, so any eppy they arent in im happy with. I was okay with no Alice too.

Im finding myself liking Jack more and more.

    Grace still annoys me.

And Ricky and Adrian are still my favorite characters.

Next weeks episode looks amazing. I cant wait! I seriously love this show.

P.S. Does anyone know how the show is doing in ratings so far this season?!

Totally agree about Ricky's dad being so creepy... but at the same time, I am really glad we are getting a bigger glimpse into Ricky's background. It's really helping me understand him more as a character after seeing what he's had to grow up with.

As for ratings, the show is doing AWESOME! It has been beating Gosisp Girl by a huge margin. Whooot!

i had no idea that this show as doing THAT well with the ratings until i read it in an interview w/ one of the actors a few days ago.. congrats, Secret Life! keep it up!

yeah dool_girl, i totally agree with you about jack.. i didn't like him at first cuz all he wanted to do was sleep around.. but now that he's trying to be a better person, he's definitely becoming more likable

my friend was telling me today that she likes adrian and ricky the best because they have so many different sides. like amy and ben are just.. bland. there's nothing really to them. but adrian and ricky are always.. different.

Well, Anne is now one of my favorite characters.
And, I figured that Bob would have a longer time on the show, while he was a strange, deranged stalker, I liked him. He brought out the real Ricky, and made some drama.
