    1. Claudette ain’t too happy about having to report to Vic!

    2. “They run one of two ways. The pussy they getting into or the pussy they came out of.” © Vic Mackey

    3. “Naw we got a circle jerk jumpin’ off. Why don’t you grab some Vaseline and join in?”

    4. Claudette needs to apologize already.

    5. Yo that video was W I L D!

    6. I’m unemployed….I finally figure out what my problem is. I need a “resume” like my man Choppa!

    7. Aww…Dutch. You done said the wrong thing. Even the brotha looked at him like WTF? And Monica nipped that in the bud. She addressed that issue with the quickness.

    8. Takin’ that house is sooo wrong.

    9. I like that promo for that Steven Bochco show, “Over There”. It looks interesting.

    10. Um..I think Momma is pissed.

    11. Vic is trying hard to get Shane back. He gotta keep his eye on that boy.

    12. Dutch making deals so he can get back to work. His “controlling” Claudette ain’t going to turn out well.

  • The transition is over, back to business.

    8.1
So the transition is over, Monica Rawling is the new captain. Aceveda is not in this episode, I hope that does not mean he is done.

So Shane and Antwon Mitchell have ties, which means trouble for Vic, Ronny and Curtis as if Shane goes down, he brings everybody down. I like the new dynamic in the relationship of the former members of the strike team....Don`t know why Shane blame Vic for what happen to the team, I blame Shane for that. Now I can`t wait to know how deep is Shane involved. Finally Dutch comes forward to end this whole Claudette thing. This annoyed me big time in last season`s finale, I was seriously sick with that, I hope we get back to some classic Dutch-Claudette investigation.

Overall, better than the previous episodes but still nothing mind blowing....yet. It lacks the momentum of the previous seasons but I know this will come.moreless

This was a really good episode, and it's probably my favorite one of the fourth season so far. This was the first time that I had ever seen Glen Close perform in something more serious than a Disney movie. I for one, think that she is amazing in the fourth season so far, and I really like the way that her character is developing. This episode shows that she is a cop who actually cares about the way that the city is going to turn out. She is tired of gang violence, and a new gang war has just started between two rival gangs. Her speech at the beginning of the episode was amazing, and very touching, and it really seems like she reached out to many of her fellow officers that she works with. I know that most people don't trust Vic, but I'm glad to see that she's kind of moving in the direction of trusting him. This episode not only showed the development of Monica but it also really shows how much Vic has changed. It really seems that Vic has taken a change for the better and decided that maybe it's better to be a good cop than a cop that gets payed. I also really like the way that Monica is involved in the cases that are going on during her time as captain, she seems to be way more involved than David Aceveda ever was. Speaking of David, I'm really wondering what the heck is going on with him, he really seems to be going to the dark side.moreless
  • Rawlins assumes her duties as Captain, and places Vic back in charge of investigating gang-related activity. Another very good episode.

    9.5
A gang war threatens to break out, and Vic sets out to stop it, with the blessing of the new Captain- and some help from old Strike Team members, including the new king of the Vice Squad, Shane. But Mitchell proves to be a formidable foe, as the force contests his control of the streets. Dutch and Claudette's ostracism continues, as they are handed another in a long line of menial cases to pursue. And Dutch is sick and tired of Wyms' stubborn refusal to apologize, so he takes matters into his own hands. Once again, this series is on a roll. The dramatic gravitas that acting heavyweights Glenn Close and Anthony Anderson bring to this season has inspired the rest of the cast as well as the writers and directors- this season is so far one of the consistently best yet, and that's saying something!moreless
  • Well we finally see the new captain does actually have guts after all. Mac trying really hard to be a good guy

    7.4
Well what can i say about this episode, gang-warfare for a women who isn't even good-looking, surely they are better reason to shoot each other then for an ugly sank like her. i am beening honest, does anyone notice diffrent direction this series is going, now it seem to be toward adult-content like inter-course, what ever happend to Mac tortue the bad guys. Still u got to admit Anton sort it out by tie both guys to end of a car drag them along, it's a shame they didn't show that because that would typical for this series.

Glen Close, the captain who seem to have what it takes even kicking out a family with kids because it was bought with drug money, don't get me wrong i thibk that a little un-fair but hey like she said she's not Asvader. That isn't going to do her any favours but it might get results if drug-dealer think the police can take away their houses. i'm guessing they will now lawyer up.

Dutch, now that cause trouble isn't it, saying he can control her and in-exchange he will do favours for them, i wonder how he going to tell Cludette that he made that deal.

    • (Vic and his team bust into Choppa's room)
Vic: Assume the position, ladies. Hands on your head right now! Hands on your head!
Choppa: (puts hands on his head) Since when niggas kicking it a crime? Oh yeah, that's right - since around forever.
Vic: Ah, chilling's cool. Those teeth are a felony, though. (slaps Choppa's cheek)
      (A gun is found)
      Vic: You plottin' retribution? Huh?
Choppa: No, man. We got a circle jerk jumpin' off. Why don't you grab some vaseline and join in?

    • Monica: Explain to me why taking this house was the right thing to do yesterday, and the wrong thing today.
Vic: Yesterday we had to stop the shootings.
Monica: This house was bought with drug money. The mother knew it.
Vic: You said it would be a P.R. nightmare.
Monica: Either it works or it doesn't. To make exceptions, to put a prettier face on it....sounds more like Aceveda than me. (Monica walks out of the home and signs paperwork) Take it.

    • Monica: (addressing a group of officers) Starting today, all drug and gang related homicides will go through Vic Mackey. I've posted a list of ten detectives and twenty uni's who will work directly under Vic. You'll be leading a task force designed to learn everything we can about the roughly fifty gangs who operate on our turf. Their membership, their businesses, chains of command. Federal asset forfeiture laws will now be enforced in Farmington. A drug dealer uses a car to distribute drugs, we're gonna seize that vehicle. A gang sells crack out of their back room, we're gonna take that home.

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Claudette: Sherman's march through the hood. Sounds like one step forward, two steps back.

At the end of the Civil War a northern general by the name of William Sherman instituted a new form of warfare called "Total War." He marched his men into the South and burned down everything. It essentially crippled the South and ended the civil war, thus taking a step forward, but after the war the south needed major rebuilding, thus the 2 steps back.
