  • One of the great things about The Shield is that what seem like minor plot points set up earlier in the series crop up from time to time, making for complex storylines. This is one of those eps where a perfect storm of errors results in a real nail-biter.moreless

    9.0
Vic screws up royally- a rare occurence, to be sure, but this is a biggie: Garza rips off the money he borrowed from the heist stash without consulting the Team. So now he has the money AND the guns, and Vic has to get the cash back without being exposed. This brings about more tension between Mackey and Shane, who are still beefing about Shane buying the car for Mara (sidebar: DAYUM, that girl is HAWT!!)Dutch continues his dogged pursuit of the guns from his own end, while Claudette works out her frustration with having to wait another 6 months for the Captain position.

Another excellent episode- you know what, I think I have lost all objectivity at this point... I am officially in love with this show, so an episode will really have to stink for me to give a bad review. Back to the DVD player...moreless
  • Control over the Biz Laps escalate along with anger between Shane and Vic over spending the drug money of the Armenians.

    7.1
Loved it, Vic gets made to look like a fool here. The whole thing with the Biz Laps and Garza backfire on him. As usual Vic wants all the money and guns in a deal but Garza and his gang get the upper hand on him. Dutch and Claudette grab a guy, Esteban, who seems to have wanted control of the gang. It seems that his buddies were gunned down and he was the only witness. Dutch manages to find out more to the story but still isn't quite able to figure out who really is behind the stolen money, Vic and his gang. However, it was great to see the heat pulled on Vic. He had to dump money in the ocean since spending a lot of money would only bring more toward him. Aceveda and Claudette clash over the fact that he's still Captain but in the end they make an agreement to bring in a decoy squad to work with Vic and his nasty friends.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Shane: Besides, we're still going to need somebody to mow our lawns after this race war is over.

    • Vic: I hope you got something for a headache. (Throws warrant in his face) Cause I'm it.
Lemonhead: It's a regular Rite-Aid in here Lonzo.
Lonzo: My lawyer's gonna read dis warrant. If there is even an apostrophe missing... POOF!
Vic: Why don't you roll the dice on a 20-year stretch, see how good we spellchecked. Or can get your ass on the phone with Garza, and tell him you got new shipments of Asian-Coke you're selling at deep discounts. POOF!

  • NOTES (4)

    • Vic's line to Kern about setteling their differences in a steel container is a reference to a previous episode, Dawg Days.

    • We find out that before Corrine became a full-time mother to Vic's children, she was a nurse working the ER at Mission Cross.

    • Deleted scenes on the Season 3 DVD include Vic tallking to Julien about how "accidents happen" and Aceveda talking to a priest about a beatdown.

    • Originally Garza was meant to play a bigger role in the season, but last minute changes to the script made it so Diagur would be the one the Strike Team would deal with the rest of the season.
