  • If they keep this quality up, they may have earned a fan for life. Continuing the trend in the last couple of eps of focusing on a couple of main story lines instead of meandering all over the place gives welcome opportunities for character development.moreless

Dutch's big break may have arrived, as he gets evidence that his serial killer theory is true, and persuades Aceveda to allocate the force's resources to him for 24 hours. Jay Karnes as Dutch really got his moment in the sun this episode, and he milks it for all it's worth, turning in a vulnerable performance that left me liking a character I had given up on. The saga of Julien continues, as Aceveda refuses his offer to testify against Mackey, and Julien decides to go to I.A.D. Julien's activities on The Down Low also continue to heat up. Meanwhile, Danny is caught between the two as she unwittingly tips Vic off that Julien is about to rat. We all know how much Vic likes rats... Danny is also caught in the middle of a lust triangle between Mackey and Dutch... a little melodramatic, but the actors pull it off well.

Speaking of Vic, he also gets a few choice plots of scenery to chew on. Chiklis' delivers another towering performance as he roller-coasts from mute helplessness at his son's struggle with autism to righteous wrath at the scumbag pornbrokers who victimize underage girls to fatherly tenderness with one of the exploited girls. He also mesmerizes in a scene with hooker friend Connie, who is in a bit of a mess.

The Barn gets flooded, which provides comic relief moments, including several with Aceveda. About time; the guy really needs to lighten up.moreless

i like how the show stayed to one storyline for most of this episode, I thought that was a huge improvement from the past couple of episodes where they would be doing five things at once and they were never tied together. The fact that the case wond up mostly being a personal prank was kind of weird. I dont know if I like that or if I dont. I found the twist itself kind of funny, but in the long run I think I have to question the writers decision go that route. I would have thought something like having all the evidance be there but never getting the guy to crack would have been a much better writing for the show. I thought Vics scenes were the best, as to be expected with this show. I find it weird Shane and Vics family has dissaperred for two episodes, but I did like this episodes storyarch very much.moreless

This episode was a very intense episode. What i liked was the genious writing. 2 episodes ago Dutchboy mentioned sometihng, and this episode, it simply turned out to be true and become the main case.

But it never gets solved. This is good character development episode too on the part of Dutch.

Humor wasnt missing i nthis episode too: Its just me, or at the police they always have trouble with the toilets? The flood was hilarious.

Or... when the hooker shoots the guy 'He could have been the killer, no? He was actin strange' LOL. That was incredible. Good episode, keep it coming guys.moreless
