  • A long-awaited episode.

    9.0
The Shield's fourth season is very different from the other seasons. Not only because the strike team isn't working together, but also because Shane and Vic are working against each other.

The season is criticized by many because of this; and because of the lack of action.

Surely, this episode wasn't action packed either. But, it was a very big step for two characters, the two main characters: Vic and Shane.

Shane screwed up. He tried to be just like Vic, but he couldn't handle it.

The episode keeps building the tension, and the last few minutes is the result of that. Vic and Shane finally team up to take Antwon down. Dutch and Wyms solve 2 cases, both of them easy and pretty humorous, about time it's not about murdering.

Acevada has serious problems, and it's even cleaner now: he needs to be caught by Vic. ASAP.

Overally, slow, transitional episode, but the last few minutes for every Shield fan out there: it was worth it.moreless
  • Vic vs. Shane.

    8.7
I`ve forgot a little about what was in the episode but I do remember the big events.

Shane is in deep trouble and tries to come clean with Vic. But the latter suspects that its a set up and point the gun of Shane. Intense, absolutely intense scene....but it looks like Shane is kissing a*s big time and really needs help. Wonder if Vic will help him. For some reason I hope not...I`m really not a Shane fan. Other than that I forgot the other stories. So the 100 words obligation will not help here. ;-)..well can`t wait for more.moreless
  • In a classic season, this episode stands out as the turning point of the main storyline: Vic vs. Antwon. There can be no turning back now. Damn, this is getting good!moreless

    9.5
C.I.'s are turning up dead, and Vic and Monica pull out all stops to find the killers. Things begin to thaw between Dutch and Claudette as they successfully crack a couple of cases. Speaking of cracks, Corinne continues to cozy up to Dutch- what a witless bimbo these writers have turned her into. Aceveda feels snubbed by Sara, and he wields his power to threaten her. Shane and Army screw up an attempt to turn Halpern against Antwon, and it sets up probably the most poignant scene in the entire series, as Shane begs Vic to help him out of the mess he finds himself in.moreless
  • This episode shows there can only be one vic mackey. Unfortunetly for Shane, he tries to do what Vic does and finds himself in deep trouble where he comes to Vic for help. Also Antwon is showing why he's a thorn in Vic and Rawling's side.moreless

The beginning where_Vic_busts_Antwon's_door down is a great way to start the show off. Vic_is_basically_telling_Antwon the end is near_for_him.

The ending where Vic_and_Shane_meet_and_Shane_pleads_to Vic for help is a great way to end the show. The_look_on_Shane's face when Vic puts his gun down for the first time shows_a_softer_side_of the #2 guy on the strike team_and_again_displays_the_love_and_commraderie_the strike team has for one_another.

This episode_sets_up_the_strike team getting together as a force which is always something to look forward too. Another_reason why this episode_and this_entire season is one of the best television has to offer.moreless
  • Shane is pretty soft. He’s always talking this mess about Antoine to his underlings. Never to Antoine himself. Antoine is right, “When I say you suck my ----, you ask ‘do you want me to lick your ----- too Daddy’?”moreless

    8.2
    1. Aceveda and his girlfriend: You mad?

    2. Aceveda needs to stop hatin' on Vic. Please, it's getting old.

    3. Dutch Boy. “I gotta say you play with fire you get burned.” “Explain” “You don’t go around having dinner with Vic Mackey’s old bride.” “What Dinner? Dinner’s nothing. I go to dinner with my mother.”

    4. Armey: It’s called a “safety” use it.

    5. Shane is pretty soft. He’s always talking this mess about Antoine to his underlings. Never to Antoine himself. Antoine is right, “When I say you suck my dick, you ask ‘do you want me to lick your balls too Daddy’?”

    6. “You might be smart, but you’re not criminal smart and you’re a terrible liar.”

    7. Shane crying like a little girl. He’s hit rock bottom. Now Shane is professing his love for Vic! Aww….Isn’t that sweet?

    • Shane: Hey, thanks for coming. Look, ah...I'm in some serious shit. (Vic points his gun at him) Hey, hey, what the hell you doing? What the hell's the matter with you?!
Vic: Bugged your car. It's you or me...right? I guess it's you.
Shane: No, no, no no, I, I'm I'm explaining, Vic, pl-please, listen to me. Goddamnit, listen to me. Look, Antwon killed Angie right in front of me and Army. He did it with our guns it...it's what I came to talk to you about.
Vic: Thought you had nothing to do with Antwon.
Shane: It's nothing that we haven't done before. Look, he's squeezing us. He says the body will turn up if, if, if I don't... But, I would never do that. Never! You know that! Look, I was just bluffing him to buy time. We took a run at Halpern, he showed us where Angie's body was, but we can't get to it just the two of us. Army's gun went off... Look, Halpern's still alive. But once Antwon finds out, I'm dead. I got Mara and Jackson out of town, but I'm....look I'm in trouble man. I don't know how it got this deep.
Vic: (Vic puts down his gun) You got one shot. (Motions to Shane's gun) TAKE IT.
Shane: No. No. I would never choose him over you. We let that Money train bullshit get in the way, but... come-on you're my friend. (Vic points the gun back at Shane) Look, I need you. Will you help me? (Vic slowly puts his gun down)

    • Shane: (to Halpern) You tell Antwon, I'm done with his shit! All of it! He tries to come after us, my family, or Vic...I'll walk up to him and I'll put a bullet in his head. You got that? YOU GOT THAT?!

    • (Vic breaks Antwon's door open with a crowbar)
Vic: Police! Antwon, get your ass out here!
Antwon: (walks out, and sees the damage) You better have a warrant.
Vic: Warrant? I just saw your door busted wide open, wanted to make sure you're okay. (Sarcastically) You okay? The One-Niners started a campaign against police informants.
      Antwon: I'm done with this.
Vic: You think you can just go after anyone. You think you're indestructible?
      Antwon: I don't know what you're spinning.
Vic: (throws crowbar down) If you've given the word, that some informant or some citizen or some cop gets hurt...you're gonna be spitting teeth!
Antwon: I'm going back to bed.
Vic: Make sure you get that door fixed. Anyone could just walk right in.
