  • Lem is taken in by Kavanaugh who is trying to break him down to get him to help bring Vic down. While he's busy the rest of the strike team is taken down a new name on the streets, Dooms Day.moreless

This episode was a big progress in the plot of this season of The Shield. I couldn't help but feel bad for Lem, and it was really hard to watch him kind of turn his back on the team. I was glad to see that he was giving the heads up to Vic at the end of the episode. It really seems like the team's going to break up again. Lem is a really good cop though and I know that his heart's in the right place, but he really needs to move on. Nobody wants to see Vic get in trouble for this thing, I mean, that was the first freaking episode that Terry got killed in. I also wish that Julian would back off a bit from the new recruit, but she really should have realized coming into the job that it's not really made for girly girls, and if you want to be pretty and impress the guys, well, there's really a time and place for that and that's not on the job. I thought that they were going to kill Dooms Day for a while there when they were putting him in the car and taken him out to the middle of nowhere. I really thought that that guy would be more involved in the rest of the season, I guess we'll find out.moreless

  • Things are really poppin' off quick this season. Lem looks about to crack under the pressure, and the Team encounters a scary new foe. Tautly directed and superbly written and acted, this episode is an instant classic.moreless

Another spectacular episode. Forest Whitaker's portrayal of Kavanaugh becomes less showy and more nuanced. The interrogation of Lem continues- with added pressure from Aceveda. And Kavanaugh continues his creepy stalking of Corrine. Vic and the rest of the Team investigate a multiple homicide and encounter a new, formidable foe. Claudette and Dutch look into a shady minister who may be guilty of attempted murder. Danny and Julien clash over whether he should report an instance of excessive force by Tina. And Lem has a showdown with Mackey over the truth about Terry's death.

More great stuff. This season is only two episodes in, and I'm already entranced.moreless

  • This may not have been the most action packed episode, although it was nice to finally see Ronnie's character step it up and give a good beat down. I think "Enemy of Good" was ultimately setting the stage for a pretty sweet episode 3.moreless

You've got Lem forced to wear the wire with the whole heroine thing over his head, Corrine running into Kavanaugh at the school....it's all starting to build up here. Kavanaugh keeps running to Acevada for help, but Acevada is always somewhat reluctant to get too involved (wonder why, haha) Then you've got Claudette's (my least favorite character of the show) secrecy to figure out.

After watching episode 2 and seeing the previews for episode 3, I think things are about to get crazy. Obviously Vic finds out about Corrine's run-ins with Kavanaugh, which will surely turn into a big ordeal. The Strike Team finds out that Lem is being forced to wear a wire will definately make things complicated as always.

    (Future predictions)
Vic will learn that Acevada's cooperating with Kavanaugh to bring him down; then will find out about Acevada's peter-puffing incident and use that as his leverage.

Dutch is going to do something CRAZY! He has to after that whole cat strangling thing that happened last season!moreless

This episode was OK, it had all of the classic "Shield" elements in it, however, I thought it was lacking in alot of areas, for example, Forest Whitaker. He is an amazing actor, just not here. I can't stand him in this role, and it's making me not like the way the show flows. Which was another problem I had with this episode, it was really random to me, and I'm sure that no one else will agree, but it didn't seem like an episode of "The Shield" it felt like a quick cut, re-cap. I did love when they handed over Doomsday, that was un expected and is what I love about this show. And if this is the very last season, I have no idea how they'll end it, and If anyone would like to take a shot in the dark, I'd love to hear it, I have my own theories.
