What's everyone's favourite moments from the Shield?

    Mine are:

    - The Armadillo storyline

    - The scene between Dutch and that killer who was caught masturbating in the alleyway (S2 I think) who turns the table ininterview, psychoanalysing him while everyone watches in the other room to laugh until Dutch nails him at the end. One of the best moments ever in the Shield in my opinion.

    - Antwon Mitchell storyline

    - Lem getting killed

    - Episode 8 of this season

I know I'll have forgotten some but these stand out from memory as being some of the best moments I remember, but it would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks!

Vic kicking Armadillos arse made me stand up and shout 'Yeah!'. That child raping bastard... I enjoy the foreboding quotes, like in Season 1 when Vic, against Gilroys lead, decides he's "...not giving up on Shane..." and two weeks ago he echoed it again to Ronnie, I love how things come full circle to fruition. Gilroy to Vic, "We're dinasoars Vic, and make no mistake, the meteor is coming." Geez, by the last show the 'previously on The Shield' could take 45 minutes before the epiosode begins

Vic's breakdown in the season 1 finale

Final shot of Post Partum Vic, Shane and Ronnie walking away, Vic vowing revenge)

"How's your jaw feeling?", shane confronting Two Man

Vic handing over his badge to Claudette.

Dutch killing that cat in season 3

Antown Mitchell in S4 proclaiming, "you'll be doing time, for a long long time."

    Ending of the pilot

Shane and vic's big confrontation in Chasing Ghosts

Poor Dutch being spyed on through a police camera while he's singing in his car.

Julien exacting payback on the ex cops who hurt him in season 2.

Hell make it easier, the whole show is far better than any drama out now.

    What I love:

At the end of the fourth episdoe when they leave the two rap producers in the storage bin over night to "work out" their problems. When they open it up they find out that one guy killed the other. I thought that was great!

The burning Armidillo's face, and then having him killed in lockup.

    Dutch killing the cat.

Dutch getting the serial killer to confess, like season 2 or 3.

    Vic torturing and killing Guardo.

I also love the part when Guardo tries to convince SHane to let him go. He asked him what he wanted, Shane said piece of mind. I love that...

    Killing Mr. Foot Fetish.

    The whole Antwone Mitchell saga.

I loved the 21 gun salute in the promosode.

The porno rap thing was great.

    Lem the fallen.

    The way Shane killed Lem.

Dutch banging Cornie to get back at Vic. (Why hasn't Vic been banging that FBI chick yet?)

Billings and Dutch working together (when Billings is really trying).

And probably a million other things I can't remember at the moment, but that is enough for now.

Wow, I'd say Dutch and the serial killer/rapist. The idea that the dude thought he had Dutch pegged while Dutch was getting all of his info together to nail him....awesome.

    The whole Antwon Mitchell storyline

    The whole Kavanaugh storyline.

    All of Season 1.

    The 2nd season "Co-pilot" episode.

    Tavon on the Strike Team.

I loved Vic beating that dude up in the interogation room the very first episode... which cop are you supposed to be? Good Cop and Bad Cop left for the day.... I'm a different kind of cop BAM

I also loved the episode where Lem went into the trailor to help that kid that was hurt and was falsly accused of hurting that kid. That part was awesome but the whole episode was amazing!

Oh yeah, I too loved that Tavon/Shane scene at his apartment and the aftermath when Tavon gets thrown out of the car. I also am angry that Tavon didn't come back until one episode this season. There could have been so much done with that story.

The funniest moment was when Shane goes undercover at the Cock Fight and tries to chloroform the guy, to sell him to the Mexican bounty hunter, and he gets away and starts beating the crap out of Shane. When Lem comes in to save him Shane clocks the guy in the back of the head with a 2x4. Shane stands over the guy and says, "That works too..." Not sure what season, probably 1 or 2.

I'd have to say season 5. I watched that on DVD in basically a oner it was so good. Honestly amongst all the shows I've ever watched I feel that was the best single season of any show in TV History. I know that's saying a lot but man was it good.

I have to agree with season 5 was the best. The acting of Forrest Whittiker was superb you can see why he won the oscar later in the year.

Season two is a close second

The episode with the cock fight was late in the 1st season, I like the scene later when shane instead of using the chloroform (as it was not particlarly sucessful as the guy fought back and I think Lem saved him) uses the 2 x 4 and says "I like the Old Method"

When Vic attempts to strangle Amadillo to death, the intesity between the two actors was incrediable, how Vic realized that Amaradillo wanted Vic to him. It was just one most favorite shield moments for me. Also when the strike teams tapes Dutch singing" Like a Wolf', in the episode Tar Baby was pretty funny.

My fave parts (that immediatly pop into my head, anyway) are:

    - Season 1 ender when Vic comes home to an empty houe and has a breakdown

    - EVERYTHING with Antwon Mitchell (I still, to this day, cannot believe that a guy who is such a goofy MF'er in everything else he does, managed to be, BY FAR, the most frightening bad guy in all 7 Seasons of The Shield), but especially the scene where Shane thinks he's gonna get busted, and figures his only chance is getting Antwon to attack him so Shane has to shoot him "in self defense". So Shane goes into the interrogation room, does this whole speech about Antwon's son being nothing but a "N-word other-F-word" (oh god I love political correctness!!) who's going to wind up "with a back full of shiv and an ass full of cum". That whole speech was amazing writing, but that last line was un-frickin-believable!

    - I posted this before (in my single positive review of an episode) (hey, in my defense I only did one negative one, so it's not like I was spending years dissing shows, LOL!), right after I saw the episode because it blew me away. The episode where Kavanaugh's ex is "raped", and he realizes she's lying, and even though she's offering him EVERYTHING he's wanted for who know's how long (ie - for his ex to come back to him), he puts his job first. The camerawork with the "classic romantic ultra-closeup", where their lips are millimeteres apart, she's acting like they're going to kiss and everything will be fine; meanwhile he's in that same position, wanting to kiss her and take her back SO desperately you can see him fighting with himself, but he winds up rejecting her and charging her with a crime. *THEN* the shot hits the fan when he realizes he's being watched by Vic and Lem, and from then on it's all out war against the strike team - throwing Lem in jail with everyone else, offering the team up to Antwon (which Kavanaugh KNOWS will result in the strike team getting killed)....just, WOW!

-> There's also a couple of amazing scenes in the "Third last" and "Second last" eps of the Season. Kavanaugh losing it when he finds out Lem's getting a deal, and the main target (Vic, of course) is walking away free. Even though all the viewers are like "Haha, screw you Kavanaugh, Vic beat you!"...everything Kavanaugh is saying to the Chief is true! Vic DID kill a cop, he DID have sex with Kavanaugh's ex to make the investigation seem like a personal vendetta, he DOES torture suspects, deal drugs, etc. Yet the WHOLE TIME were laughing at Kavanaugh and cheering for Vic's "win". The final scene of the penultimate episode of the season, where they're sending Lem off, at dawn, to hide to the tune of Smashing Pumpkin's "Disarm" was also a beautifully shot scene evoking MEGA emotion without words.

    - The scene where Vic "confesses" everything to ICE, especially the part where he's trying to drop all the barriers and admit the "first crime" (Terry's shooting)...woah. Talk about saying a million words with just your facial expressions, OMG!!

Like I said, that's what pops into my head, even though there's probably a million more. Unfortunatly, I can't rightly judge the final episode because some NOT NICE GUY posted online this one sentence RIGHT before I was going to watch the final ep:

    **SPOILERS**

"That's it? Shane kills himself, Ronnie goes to jail, and Vic is ICE's errand boy for 3 years? What a letdown!". Maybe, maybe not... but I'll never be able to judge for myself because I found out ALL the surprise endings before I watched the friggin thing. People can be not nice sometimes!
