Hi all, Im new to these boards...
I was watching tonights Nip/Tuck Finale, and they should a Promo for Season 6 of The Shield!!!!!! It was an awesome promo, short and not much to see, but still very very powerful. If anyone has seen it, do you know what the song was that played?
Thanks, and The Shield is without a doubt the BEST show ever made in Television in my honest opinion.

Hey, I'm new to these boards as well... After seeing that promo,it made me even more excited for the new season to start. For those of you who haven't seen it... The promo starts with an aerial view of a city. With each following scene you get closer and closer till finally you see Vic and Shane standing in a cemetery in front of a grave. Vic is fighting back tears,looking real upset. Then it cuts to The Shield.. Coming Soon. I have no idea what music was playing. Maybe someone else will know.

Both times I saw the promo my eyes felt all watery... I'm definately gonna miss Lem...

For whoever asked, the song is "This Night" by Black Lab. It hasn't been released anywhere yet other than the promo however.

Wow, a CGI promo for The Shield? I guess Fox is throwing a little more money their way.

A very moving teaser, can't wait for my favorite series to pick back up!

Anyone notice that the grave is opened with the dirt to the right of Vic. Maybe its not Lems grave, maybe the grave is open for either Vic or Shane. What also gives this appearence is when the camera goes behind Vic, it looks like he jumps or falls in. Could it be a sign of whats coming this season?
Is it me or does anyone else notice this? Watch it closely.

Actually after looking at it again, both Vic and Shane appear to fall into the grave.

That was amazing!!!! Chiklis finally lost some major weight from season 5 and he's gonna look much more hard@$$ and much more believable as Vic! Brillant!

It was definately set up so you think that it's lem's grave but its not! They are definately doing foreshadowing there....I am still standing by my prediction from 2 years ago that I posted here...Vic is going to kill Shane when he finds out and not feel even a shed of guilt for it. Then, Vic will get the needle for killing shane (a "cop"), in the final episode, final scene of the show. Hence, the mention to "the needle" in almost every episode since mid season. Like Vic says in season 4 "I don't know where you're from, but In cali, you get the needle for killing a cop." I think the promo is trying to foreshadow that both of them will be dead in the end without actually saying it. Much like most things the shield does. I mean look at last yr's motto, "Conscience is a killer." We should have gotten that sooner.

I am completely in agreement with dgranitz2004. There is no way that Vic could let Shane get away with murdering Lem. There is so much foreshadowing of it, that makes it seem like it's just Vic, but Shane is included in it, hence the reference of "two cops killers". I think this season is going to be insane. And dgranitz2004, you rock!

May I just say that I did not even notice that Vic and Shane were falling into the gave until I came on here and read a few of the comments posted. I guess I was so excited to see a new promo that I wasn't paying attention. I do agree with dgranitz2004 about the whole foreshadowing of things to come. While I really hope that Shane gets his, I do not want Vic to die. Is that wrong? All I know is that this season cannot start soon enough.

However, since there will be a total of 7 seasons now, I will be very sceptical of how this series will end. If Shane and Vic are out, then creating an attachment to the new 'hero/protagonist' will be much harder for the writers to close it out with a bang. I will always watch The Shield, beginning to end, but killing my two favorite characters would weaken my attachment to the show.

I meant that them leaping into the grave was a metaphor for them "on the way down"....meaning that its all downhill from here, kinda idea...Theyll be aorund through season 7, that wasn't even what I was saying....I def don't want or think that will happen lol...what I think is that it is foreshadowing that at the end of season 7, neither of them will be alive....and again, its all downhill from here.

Also, I think Ronnie will be the only strike team member that walks away alive and free. I think that the interview with Kavy last year was foreshawoding there, as there is nothing, money wise or witness wise, that can link Ronnie to anything illegal...

Vic's gotta kill Shane though, and I am still 100% certain Vic gets the needle for it.

Still 3 and a half months to go.
