Don't get me wrong- I love The Shield. But no real plot advancement takes place in this episode, so if you were to skip it, you wouldn't be out all that much. Just sayin'...moreless

I know The Shield can't be all slam-dunks, all the time. I realize that it's a series. with an obligated number of episodes to produce. Still, I get impatient when a placeholder episode like this one crops up and slows the momentum this show specializes in building. Nothing of consequence happens in this episode, though the plot is entertaining enough to keep a die hard fan like me watching until the last frame. Casual viewers could easily skip this one, though. One question though- what happened to Dutch's newly discovered personality quirk? I can't believe they spent all that time setting it up in the last episode just to abandon it now.moreless
