I would like to say that I was not as happy with this episode. The story line was boring. The main point of this episode was to get the marked money list from the safe, but I don't believe they touched on it as much as I wanted them to. They bring in this murder case and it turns out that it is just some drug lab in a truck that was killing illegal aliens that our taking all the drug making jobs from the good people (i.e. Americans). And there was no danger after they got the list. It is like they didn't have any risk getting back in the police station. All in all, not the best episode, and I was a little depressed.

  • It's an ok episode- but The Shield is never less than entertaining, even when an ep detours into territory that is not all that interesting to yours truly...

As I mentioned before, this was not my favorite storyline. Vic and the Team take desperate measures to get their hands on the Treasury list of marked bills, and an investigation into narcocorridos, Mexican folk songs documenting criminal activities, is triggered after a song leads to 8 dead bodies- and other songs start to yield a mountain of leads. Danny and Julien talk out their issues, but there is friction between Claudette and Dutch after she starts to order him around.

Aceveda blows his stack at Mackey and Wyms, as the stress from his ordeal starts to show- so he seeks counsel from a source close to him.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • When Vic takes the tape out the VCR it's clearly a non-recordable tape. There's a little piece of plastic that needs to be on the end to record over it, that many store bought tapes lack. And it was definitely recording because he rewound and played it back. Edit
    • When Vic shows up to meet Lauren and her K9 partner to search for the bodies, he gets down eye-to-eye with the dog. This would *never* happen with a police K9. It would be taken by the dog as a major sign of aggression and the dog would likely attack. Edit
    • The amount of times David kicks the suspect in the room, and the number of times on tape are not the same. He kicked two times more in the room than on tape. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • Deleted scenes for this episode on the Season 3 DVD include Julien & Danny being picked for inventory, Dutch complaining about being a go-to-guy, and Vic being a good dad. Edit
    • Natalie Zea was picked to do a longer stint on the show that would lead to the season finale, but her schedule shortened how many episodes she would be in. Her role was intended to be bigger than just a fling with Vic. Edit
    • This is the only episode where there is no mention of how Tavon is doing. Edit

    • Claudette: Those are nice threads. Must have found better work when picking strawberries in Oxnard. Edit
    • Aceveda: I went after a suspect today, and I kicked the shit out of him. The only thing that stopped me was... I started to piss my pants. I'm losing control of everything Rigoberto: Then take it back! Aceveda: (Starting to cry) I don't know how. Rigoberto: You're a captain. You command 200 men, hell you're gonna be the next city councilman. You have power, David. You have a gun and a badge. Now these were just a couple of punk assholes. Do you know who they are? Aceveda: I could find out. But even then... what? Rigoberto: If it was me... I'd kill 'em. Edit
    • Vic: We're working late tomorrow night boys. You got any plans, change 'em. Ronnie: (Sarcastically) Uh, I got tickets to Journey! What's going on? Vic: We're getting the marked money list out of Aceveda's safe. Edit

    • Vic: We're going to bring in Eminem everytime he raps about killing his ex? A quick reference to rapper/songwriter Eminem and the several songs on his albums that invlove him killing his ex-wife Kimberly Mathers. Edit
