  • A tension-filled masterpiece!

    9.7
This episode is all about trust- or maybe mistrust. Shane wants Lem to promise to take one for the Team if he is arrested. Lem wonders if he can trust the Team to stand up for him. Corinne finds out that she cannot trust the new "parent" at the school, and decides to entrust Dutch with the information that Kavanaugh is sweating her. Wyms still doesn't trust Dutch enough to reveal her mystery illness. Mackey entrusts the Team's legal defense to Becca. Vic also discovers that his trust in his informant was misplaced. Aceveda and Kavanaugh eye each other warily. And no one trusts rookie Tina, who continues to screw up.

Fiery performances in this one, especially from Chiklis in the chilling closing scene. This is a keeper episode.moreless

Can this show get any better this season?!? The element of suprise is over the charts! Its like a drug I just can't get enough! The Shield has to be by far the best ever! Never kwowing what is coming next is the whole reason they keep us comin back ever week and season
  • Twists & turns, characters you love to hate but you can't and some you feel sorry for.

    9.4
This show has got to be the number #1 cop show in the game. Every episode I watch entices me in further and deeper in the story. Ok, for those who haven't seen this episode have gotta see it because it shows the true meaning of paranoia, corruption and sympathy. Vic is evolving into a darker and meaner character than ever before, the crimes that are being commited alongside the main story are getting more ghastly (Hence, pregnant mother's unborn baby being cut out, YUK!). The Strike team gotta think quick on their feet and come up with more options for themselves. Corruption doesn't comes without a price, so I think someone on the team is gonna have to sacrifice themselves.

    Til' next time!

    Peace! :)moreless
  • Paranoia begins to erode the Strike Team

    9.5
This pivotal episode showcases the very best of the Shield team; bringing a foundation laid years ago to another, logical and unsettling level. Vic's insight fails him, and we begin to see that if his instincts for who is loyal to him and who is not are thrown off, he really can't trust anyone. There is no longer a unified goal - Vic wants to topple Kavanaugh, Lem wants to stay out of jail, Shane wants to hang on to his family, and the tension that rises from all of them needing each other while they all suffer an erosion of trust makes for some of the tensest moments in television. The last minutes of this ep had me gripping the arm rest until I was white-knuckled.

Only complaint? I do wish Aceveda was incorporated into the plot more. He became an increasingly complex character - Martinez is a wonderful actor. But the season's not over.

  • One of the best episodes so far

    10
This epsiode is amazing. Especially the ending is surprising and incredible at once. Both Whitaker and Chiklis at their best. But the overall episode has the feeling of one climax after another.

This episode is especially good if you have been following the show for some time because it has a lot of very good character interaction and character development and it pushes the story a few steps ahead. Probably not the best episodes in terms of \\\\\\\"crime solving\\\\\\\", but definitely one of the best in terms of twists and story-telling. If they can keep up this quality, this season is going to be very good and they should definitely keep the show running.moreless
