Episode Summary

The Nolan Family
Paris and Nicole are preggers! Well, sorta. The girls strap on 35-pound pregnancy suits and take the place of a nine-month-pregnant stay-at-home wife. Shopping and parties are out of the question as Paris and Nicole struggle to clean house, raise a three-year-old, survive Lamaze class...and hit the strip clubs? Yep, the girls do pregnancy their own way! So, when Nicole takes Mr. Nolan to a nudie joint, Mrs. Nolan's hormones go through the roof.moreless

  • Aha Paris and Nicole are pregnant and spend time with the husband. HILARIOUS.

LMBO this episode was funny(every episode is funny). Paris and Nicole having to wear that fake pregnancy thing. It was especially funny when Nicole went in public and was drinking alchohol and stuff messing with the people. And Paris gving them baby name ideas(cactus) rofl. It was great. The strip club thing might have been a little innapropriate but still, it was very humurous. Wonderfullll beginning for this season. These girls are just way too funny. I can;t wait for the next episode. All of you who haven't even given the simple life a chance should maybe reconsider. Or not. ahamoreless
  • Paris and Nicole start off the season acting as a pregnant mother with one child already. They have a list of chores to do, which obviously don't go as planned

The reason I say this episode was out of character, even though its reality, is because neither one acted as they normally did. They weren't as funny, especially Nicole. It seemed all Nicole could think about was sex. Taking the husband to a strip club and saying their daughter was going to make a great stripper was just plain wrong. I don't care if its for tv.

Paris on the other hand was actually funny. The whole name thing especially. "you should name him cactus" I loved it. And when she had to watch the lady give birth, i was cracking up.moreless
  • Paris and nicole speak about being housewives...

Which requires more stamina: partying all night or running a household?

Paris: "Partying is fun, but running a household is hard."

Nicole: Running a household, for sure!"

When you're getting ready to go out, who do you groom first, the kids or yourself?

Paris: "Myself, because I would just want to."

Nicole: "My kids, definitely. They don't take as long to get ready, and I think that people see how you groom your kids and say 'Okay, she's a clean woman' or 'She's not.' "

    Sexy gardener or hardworking nanny?

Paris: "Is it a guy gardener? Sexy gardener."

Nicole: "Hardworking nanny is hot. I like someone who likes kids."

    Soccer mom or MILF?

Paris: "MILF, because that's who everybody wants to do."

Nicole: "The MILF is hot, the soccer mom is not."

    Take-out or home-cooked meals?

Paris: "Home-cooked meals, 'cause it tastes better, and I'm a good cook."

    Nicole: "Take-out, I don't cook."

Hot hubbie who cheats or chubby shlub who adores you?

Paris: "Chubby shlub who adores you...but make him hot somehow.

    Nicole: "Chubby shlub."

Who requires more attention, a baby or a boyfriend?

    Paris: "A baby."

Nicole: "That's a good question. I don't know how to answer that one. I guess, maybe, it's tied."

    Favorite cooking utensil or appliance?

    Paris: "Microwave and the toaster."

Nicole: "I don't own cooking utensils. Favorite appliance? I don't even know what that is."

    Is your life really simple?

Paris: "No, because I work really hard."

Nicole: "I think it is. I mean, I can't really compare my life to anyone else's, but I have fun living it."

Did you like playing the role of wife and mother?

Paris: "I would've liked it more if it was with, like, a hot guy."

    What's the secret of a happy home/marriage?

Nicole: "I think being really close with your family and having good communication with your kids, your husband and just building a great life."

Did you do anything you'd never done before?

Paris: "I saw a baby being born. And I had to wear these, like, fake breasts and breast-feed a kid. That was weird. The kid wouldn't take the milk from me, and I felt uncomfortable because I wasn't the mom."

What part of running household did you hate?

Nicole: "I loved every minute of it. The only thing I didn't like was the cleaning."

Did you see anything that made you say, I will never, ever do that!

    Paris: "Not having a nanny!"

Could you be a stay-at-home mom?

Nicole: "I think I could be a stay-at-home mom for sure if I could get a little help from a gardener, cook and maid. I would work hard at selecting the perfect staff--and leave the maid outfit to me."

Did you learn anything from taking care of kids?

    Paris: "It's really hard work."

What's the best way to stop a tantrum?

Nicole: "You just give 'em candy, a toy or put in a movie."

What advice would you give to today's parents?

    Paris: "Be patient."

What part of pregnancy did you find the most surprising?

Nicole: "I'm surprised by all of the boning you can do when you are pregnant. Wearing a pregnancy suit was interesting as well. It's hard to do easy, everyday things with that belly in the way."

Did this experience make you more eager to have your own family and kids?

Paris: "Not for at least a few years. I need to just concentrate on myself right now."

Did you discover anything unexpected about being married?

Nicole: "It takes a ton of patience to be married and have babies running around. Both mom and dad have to take turns and help one another out. If you don't pace yourself as a couple, you will not have the energy at the end of the day to bone."

  • Better than I expected.

I was actually quite surprised when I watched the fourth season premiere. When the first season came on, I watched it and thought it was very funny, althought I wasn\'t a fan of Paris and Nicole, I still thought the show was pretty good. Since I liked the first season, I tuned into to watch season two and noticed that it was obviously fake and didn\'t even bother to watch season three. But since the two aren\'t friends anymore, I just tuned in tonight out of curiosity to see what it would be like. I actually thought Paris was kind of funny. I\'m sure it was fake, but I enjoyed it. Though I\'m not really a fan of either of the two girls (s.k.a.n.k.s. if you ask me) I think I\'ll tune in next week!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • The Lamaze scene was originally longer and featured Paris discussing why she doesn't want to have kids and Nicole learning some new techniques to make child birth easier.

    • During Paris Hilton's entrance from the car in the first scene her song "Jealousy" plays which has been rumoured to be about her relationship with Nicole Richie.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Paris: I feel like I'm getting gang banged!

    • Nicole: (To Shari on the phone) Sorry, sweetie I got to go my hands are full of your husband's nipple hair.

    • Nicole: I showed Mr. Nolan a good time. I know I had a list of things to do that day, but he needed one last hurrah. When I saw him with those strippers in his lap, I knew I had done the right thing.

    • Paris: I helped deliver a baby for them and baby-proof their house. Mr. Nolan was a pervert in Lamaze class; he was rubbing my ass. I'm pressing sexual harassment charges!

    • Doug: You left the vacuum running.
Nicole: I didn't know how to turn it off. Is it the same button as on?

    • Paris: I have a confession to make.
      Shari: What?
Paris: When I was wearing the pregnancy suit, it was really heavy, so I took out the weights and filled it with popcorn.

    • Narrator: They'll have to take on the roles of traditional housewives.
      Paris: (moans)
      Narrato: That's right; housewives.
Nicole: I don't know how to do that.

  • NOTES (5)

    • This is the first season where the theme song is written/performed by We 3 Kings but the vocals are performed by someone else. The vocals are performed by Sara Haze.

    • The season features Paris and Nicole playing "Wife" to a different family every episode, in a similar manner to Wife Swap. The girls alternate between the family each episode, with the family then deciding which of them was better in the role.

    • The episode manages to draw 1.3 million viewers. While those ratings would have been dismal for Fox, it was actually more than four times E!'s prime-time average. And in key adult demographic groups, ratings more than tripled from the network's average.

    • This is the first of only two episodes this season that Paris and Nicole appear together in the same scene.

    • The opening sequence has changed this season. The majority of the opening is cartoon versions of Paris and Nicole, and the lyrics have also changed because of the wives theme this season.
